7 consecutive parking tickets

Hi, so my dad had to park outside my brother's flat who is disabled and he was displaying the blue badge, this was due to him(brother) having a espoid of severe bad mental health.

He parked there for 7 consecutive nights, around two weeks later my dad received 7 parking tickets from UKPC.

photos of the car included and they only took photos of the car from a height and behind (maybe an overhead camera?) and they do not show front of the car where blue badge was displayed.

there is a UKPC board as well in the area that shows is small writing that they don't care about blue badge and any disabled person can not park there.

now they have sold the tickets to maybe 4 different debt (DCBL, ZZPS, QDR solicitors, and some others) collectors who keeps sending notices of £170 each.

tried to file appeal to UKPC their website says they have sold the debt so we can not appeal .

contacted the housing association that ownes the flats and they say they are suprised that PCN were issued when blue badge was displayed but they can not / won't do anything about it

no idea what to do now.

i was thinking to contact those debt collectors and inform them that pictures are unclear and blue badge was displayed in hope that they drop their case, is this a good idea?

No one has 'sold' anything to debt collectors. They work on a no win, no fee basis'.  Let them keep sending £170 notices. Just ignore them, debt collectors cannot force you to do anything. Please read the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, fourth post, so you can learn everything about debt collection.

Debt collectors can't 'drop their case', they have no case to drop. Only UKPC can do that, but they won't!

Await a Letter Of Claim or County Court Claim from DCB Legal or possibly QDR, come back if you receive from either.

The following thread will give you some idea on how DCB Legal deal with fully defended cases.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Wholly unreasonable to use different recovery agents for this.

I might suggest writing to the PPC and informing them that this can readily be handled by them or a single agent they appoint and that multiple chasers may be a course if conduct capable of amounting to harassment (see Ferguson v British Gas).

You should not be chased multiple times a day because of the inefficiency of the PPCs system nor should you be at risk of multiple sets of proceedings where they can issue one claim for all of them.

This behaviour is also a conduct issue/costs building. The £70 is arguable enough, but to suggest isn't was necessary to pursue each PCN individually and then to claim enhancements on each is frankly disingenuous.

I also thought there was something in the COP stating they have to wait a certain period before issuing further tickets.

thats what i was thinking, maybe thats why they sold it to different debt collectors, trying to hide the fact that they've done that

yes, as advised here, we are going to ignore them for now, if/when we received County Court Claim, then we will defend/appeal it. thanks
