Zopa Current account

My son's regular saver has expired and he can't open a new one. Google suggests they're no longer available to new users, although the Zopa website and the MSE regular savers guide still lists them.
He liked the simplicity of having everything in Zopa, and prefers them for his bank account for the 2% interest and cashback, but has opened one of the top 8% regular savers with other banks instead.

Zopa Regular Saver
It was reported earlier in the week on the top regular saver thread that someone trying to open a new one was told by customer service that the product had been withdrawn, but after that they still mananged to open a new one through the app as it was still showing there.
I closed and reopened mine on Thursday evening and I belive another poster successfully did similar by using the app on Thursday, but perhaps this loophole has now been stopped?
Zopa have been making a lot of changes with the new app and new benefit choices starting soon.

Has he checked under the Benefits tab, which is on the Spend tab? The new app has hidden stuff away a bit.

Thank you both, it was hidden under the 'benefits' tab, so he's opened one of those too.

I've noticed the (new?) "Switch my benefits" button in the Zopa App. One benefit choice is 3% cashback on up to £150 bills per month which seems good. I'm not sure if I switch that on I'll lose my current 7.1% Regular Saver benefit.

Do you currently have the 'old' 2% cashback on £1500/yr deal?
Certainly looks like "switching" to the new benefits excludes the 7.1% RS although it's not clear what happens to any existing account.

I think so, the Biscuit a/c was opened October 2025 and Benefits listed are; 7.1% Rs, 2% on bank and 2% cashback on bills (which I maxed out at £30)

Yep, the 'old' benefits package.
Report on another thread today that Zopa have made the ending of the 7.1% RS official with a message in the app, existing accounts will continue to term.
If you value the RS more than a free monthly coffee I wouldn't risk that switch until it's confirmed that it doesn't kill the RS.

it says in the app that your current Regular Saver pot will stay open until the term ends. No mention of another RS 😰
The 3% on DDs is tempting but as I don’t really use the Zopa current account, I am undecided whether I want the extra admin of a monthly DD1 -
I was wondering if the new 3% cashback on bills monthly benefit would start immediately as the existing £30 years worth doesn't reset until November for me. There is a revised "Fees and Useful Information" doc that can be accessed before committing to switch benefits.
