  • I use a Halifax credit card for normal spending and pay it off in full at the end of each month. Those I'd regularly over £1500 so thought it would be ideal for the Zopa reward. Tried 3 times yesterday too dry up a DD but Halifax didn't recognise Zopa's sort code 🤦

04-19-04? That's odd, I can set up my Zopa CA as a payee in my Halifax CA, no problem with Confirmation of Payee - should be the same process-ish to set up a DD.

Is it a new (last 24 hours) Zopa CA?

No I've had it open a few weeks now...
  • We're remembering this is a beta testing phase..?  Issues are not really a surprise.

Just mentioned my issue via a Zopa chat, they acknowledged the issue, are working with Halifax to fix it and credited my account with £10!
  • Good luck trying to close a current account with Zopa, it's just like staying at the Hotel California!

Why would I want to close it, it's got a linked 7.5% savings account?

Because the regular Saver isn't for everyone. For a 40% tax payer the rate would be equivalent to 4.5% and with monthly interest and fully maxed out PSA this year it might make more sense to feed a different regular saver and interest to be part of the next year. I haven't opened one and won't do so until 1st of April.
