I feed the RS manually from the current account so not tried to set up Zopa Open Banking money grab.

Have you tried setting up from First Direct as a bog-standard Standing Order?

Could be, as you say, taking a while for Confirmation of Payee details to populate the bank-iverse. Worth trying again tomorrow.
I tested it again today, but still comes up with the error message.

I'll probably do what you're doing, as it makes sense to take charge of the transfer each month on pay day
Have you actually managed to fund the regular saver at all, say with £1 from the current account? Just in case there's a problem with the RS account rather than the funding mechanism.
I haven't at the moment as I was going to hang fire until Friday (payday) to try and transfer the £300

Worst case scenario, I can transfer the money to my Chase account, and move it to the primary access pot

From there it shows on Zopa that I can add money from that account

Thanks for the heads-up though 👍

I have today opened the RS, funded it initially with £300 via Open Banking from Santander, and have set up an Autosave to pull further £300s from Santander into the RS on a monthly basis. All worked w/o a hitch, so your issue might be with First Direct?

I don't know whether it made a difference that I had used OB before to pull money from Santander into Zopa savings.

Note also that "month" of the RS doesn't appear to be calendar month, but a monthly date determined by account opening data. My month therefore starts on the 24th.

Bank transfers into the current account don't appear to arrive instantly. Definitely not at around 9pm on a Sunday evening.May be that's one of the limitations of the Beta account.
  • I opened a current account, then a regular saver, then transferred 300 using open banking from Monzo. It left Monzo instantly but took about ten minutes to show up in Zopa for the regular saver.

Two hours on, still no sign of my transfer in my Zopa current account

EDIT: payment had arrived a 8am this morning. There was no notification of the incoming payment (I have Push Notifications turned on), just an indicator on the app icon that there was something new in the app.

Quite unbelievably, a transfer from the Zopa Primary Savings Pot does not arrive instantly, or even within a few hours, in the Zopa current account. At the same time, faster payments from other banks do arrive nearly instantly.

EDIT: it has arrived this morning, some 12 hours after I made the transfer. May be they switch off transfers over the weekend, or some IT process had stopped working and needed manual intervention.

Well just got the offer. No mention of DD cashback, only real benefit is the 7.5% RS as far as I can see

I got an email this afternoon saying I'm now able to open a current account. Clearly says in my email:

    Plus, you’ll also get
    An exclusive savings rate.
    Interest on your balance.
    Cashback on Direct Debits.
Haven't looked deeply into the T&Cs yet, but AFAIK it doesn't look like anything has changed and they are still offering the DD cashback

I haven't got the email but was offered the account when I opened the app a few minutes ago. It mentioned the DD cashback

Cashback is part of the account T&Cs. You can find these in the app.

In the t&cs I could only see a bit that they may offer cashback from time to time
However, gone back & read email & does mention the cashback but there wasn't anything in the sign up process
