Afternoon folks.
Another day of pottering here.- breakie eaten at Morrisons this morning
- food shop done and dusted by 9:30
- food shop put away
- bin put out and brought in
- cat food delivered to DH's work,. so was moved from car to garage
- went to MFI and i had a look at the wardrobes, and we got our quote updated
- DH returned some light bulbs, and measured up some shop shelfing while we were at parkgate
- went to smiths and got my dad a couple of magazines about cars to help his bed rest pass a bit quicker, and one for me about decorating your home with better storage
- dropped a huge carrier bag of 'stuff' at the charity shop. A good 27 fling boogie at least - including 3 pairs of my shoes, some of my clothes, and other bits
- came home, fed charlie
- DH put up my new coat hook at Charlie height
- sorted out the coats and accessories. Some for charity shop, all charlie stuff on his hooks including hat, scarf and gloves.
- our summer coats sorted to go away in wardrobes
- DH then was inspired by my ruthless disposal of a coat and scarf of mine, and went and flung some jumpers that he doesn't wear from his wardrobe, (i think inspired by the fact that the new wardrobes will not have as much space as the current ones for hanging stuff, so more will have to be folded, and if it has to be moved about anyway we might as well get it sorted.)
- DH is now playing with Charlie outside for a bit to tire him out.
- visit parents - take dad his magazines and mum her xmas pressie that has now arrived
- do some school stuff
- get a load of charlie white washing on later once i have had chance to stain treat some of it
- make salmon, new pots and a salad for dinner
- probably a bit more sorting/decluttering while we seem to be inspired to do it.
Us women can cope with anything.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the day everyone and it is a bit sunnier and warmer in your part of the world.

Afternoon all
Hope everyones well and sickie peole are getting better.
After DS slept till 8.30 am (woohoo!), we've been out a local butterfly house/farm park. Had a lovely time with friends but so cold. DS did brill and walked the whole way round with his raines on so is now totally poopered and napping. DH has taken dogs for a run so peace at last!
Must shift though and get a few jobs done, need to empty TD, iron anything thats needed, unload DW, few other bits. Might do a quick 30mins challenge actually.
DH has promised to cook some tuna steaks tonight and our DVD rental of 'Spooks' series has come so can spend the night watching the lovely Adam *grin*.
Right better go before I stuff some more Mingles in!Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!

Well I didn't manage to get as much done as I'd hoped in that 30 mins. I managed to empty the bathroom and bedroom bins, put them out, bring back the recycling bin, refill the dishwasher and clean my kitchen windows (including sills and frames) on the inside. I didn't realise how dirty they were until I cleaned them, and now they are sparkling.
How did everyone else get on?
Think I may have a cuppa before starting another 30 mins at 4 and setting the timer this time round. Anyone joining me?

Someone mentioned sun. We don't remember what it looks like but we have had enough snow for 2 days skiing (not me, the kids). I slipped and fell in the snow so now have a limp, can't straighten my knee. Luckily the thaw came last night so we have had rain all day. If I disappear for a few days at a time it is because our broadband goes off sometimes.
Despite a wrist in splint and sore leg I have managed to do quite a list of jobs.

Good evening everyone. What a day, I feel exhausted! DPs brother just left and DP gone to work so got some peace as the electronic babysitter aka wii with new game his brother got them, is earning it's keep!
I've been mainly wiping windows, frames, carpet, furniture etc in the conservatory because I went in there earlier to get something and spotted mould, then spotted more and more. We haven't been using it because it's cold, I've vacuumed in there a handful of times but that has been all and when I looked all the windows, the ledge and everywhere had mould on. There is some on the carpets & other things but I said to DP I have got wiped where I could and we'll just have to empty it completely on Monday when the boys are back to school and check/wipe everywhere. It must be just off not using the room but it's so cold in there I don't like even having to leave the doors open, the door is draughty on there as it is. Well you could say I was absolutely moritified that it'd gone mouldy in there, but dealt with the worst of it now. Going to have to do something to try to prevent it happening again but not quite sure what. It did have bad mould/mildew stains on the sealant in there anyway which I have keep attacking occasionally, will have to just work a little harder on it.
Anyway, I didn't get the tree to the tip or the mountain of bags and cardboard recycling we have that needs to go because DP was out until 10 to when the tip shuts so I gave up, that'll have to be done Monday too as DP is out with the car all day tomorrow. I have found the uniforms apart from DS1s school coat, I've found his diary, but still no sign of the PE kit.....so that's on the list for tomorrow to try to find it. His new taxi driver came to see us today, a lady for a change and there is just the 2 of them in the taxi with an escort, she seemed very nice and I have been nice and said I know sometimes things happen but if she will be late to please call me so I can get DS2 to school! I would appreciate it. She has both my phone numbers now so hopefully the next term things will be easier.
I think for tonight I'm going to clear up in the kitchen, empty and reload the dishwasher when it's finished, put the airer full of laundry away and the washer load in now on the airer and then call it a day with the housework as I have done loads. I think I need a nice relaxing soak in the bath.
poohbear, leg sounds ever so painful, ouch! One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Sorry to hear about your fall PollyB, I hope the knee's not too painful now.
Lil me, does the conservatory have windows? Maybe you could open one up just a tiny bit during the day to help ventilate? I find this is working well in my bathroom - much less of a mould problem in there now as long as I remember to open the window just a little bit for about an hour a day.
Oooh, I feel smug again when I look at my list. I bet it's all going to go horribly down hill come work again Monday.
The sprouting mung beans are exciting - I swear they're already on the move. They are on the SW facing window ledge in the kitchen above the sink I swear that's a magic windowledge. Anything I put on there (seeds to germinate in spring, plants etc) does really well. I was really pleased with the price of the mung beans as well. When I did Mr. T's today, they were selling non-organic mung beans in a small quantity for the same price.
Also quite excited about the ebay thing as well. Have put some maps up there. We'll see how they do. Might put some more up tomorrow.
Well, better go and stick the pheasant I bought yesterday in the oven to cook for tea. If I save the bones, they can cook up with the duck bones tomorrow for stock.
My missions for today are:- [strike]Strip my bed[/strike]
- [strike]Wash my bedding[/strike]
- Dry bedding - drying in the kitchen now the sun's gone in again
- [STRIKE]Hoover mattress[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hoover bedroom floor[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hoover living room throws (pesky dog with her white hairs! - And that's not me by the way!)[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hoover living room floor Again![/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Remake bed[/STRIKE] used the new bedlinen I bought today
- [strike]Get duck out of freezer to defrost for roast tomorrow[/strike]
- [strike]Go to Mr T's for the stuff I couldn't get in town yesterday[/strike]
- Go to town to possibly buy:
- [strike]Spare set of bedding for me (I'm soooo fussy, I only have one set which gets washed, dried and put back on bed the same day - means the TD has to be on sometimes - if I had a second set, one set could be drying during the week)[/strike]
- [strike]Hunt down a pen that nice neighbour has a hankering for and hasn't been able to find[/strike] Was unable to find it. If anyone knows where I can source a pen on a rope? Schaeffer used to do them but nowhere in town now does
- [strike]Slippers - my feet are now too cold in my scruffy sandals[/strike]
- [STRIKE]RINSE SPROUTING BEANS THIS EVENING[/STRIKE]
- Contemplate doing self assessment tax return I'm willfully ignoring this until I have to!
- Do some ironing and sort out what I'm wearing for work next week this can hang over until tomorrow
- [STRIKE]Check paypal account is still valid and live[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Put at least three maps up on ebay[/STRIKE]

heh, I S&S the living room and thats about it. But then it is Saturday! wait... is it?
Anyway, took my dad to get pet food, which for him amounts too... 2X15kg bags dog food, 2X30kg bags horse food, 3X20kg chaff for horses, various treats, a bedding order (which is delivered) and oils. Me, I got chews and a bowl.
DS1 decided he was staying at Nana and Papa's so DS2 and I had chip shop chips. A few dishes to be done and a quick S&S of kitchen which I will do in a sec.
Booked the hotel for a family wedding in February and discovered all the rest of the re mortgage money is gone, so no new drive or bedroom furniture. Ah well, we did have fun wasting it all.
Now, the hunt begins. All the boys, (hubby, hubby's 2 brothers, FIL, my two sons and my nephew) are wearing kilts, so I have decided to go all out and buy a.... DRESS!!!! I'm lost, I don't know anything about dresses except with my jelly belly I will need Trinny and Suzanna pants!0
