tracyg - cross posted with you, so missed the news. I am so sorry to hear that. It is terribly shocking when it is a young person - I didn't realise until the last few months that it happened sometimes to quite young people. Thinking of you and your family today.

Tracyg, sorry to hear that. It's a shock when a young person dies, but when they have a stroke it's even worse.

bossing him around??? you are joking.. I have just been screamed and shouted at because I 'gave some scrap iron away' months after he was supposed to have arranged for someone to get rid of it.. not because he missed out on the money of it being weighed in because he wouldn't have got that anyway.. but because he has 4 bags of top soil which HE has to get rid of now.. I said put it in the wheelie bin.. it'll be gone in a week!!! cue juvenile door slamming... he is such a f***wit at times. I swear he has mental health issues.. but no doubt they are my fault too.. I csn only aspire to be as perfect as he is.. maybe I should go test out the train tracks across the road sometime!

I have £83 in boots points, £54 on quidco, plus loads that hasn't tracked which is being chased at the moment.. mainly littlewoods!! and £98 on greasypalm!!! Oh.. and £25 on Pigsback..

Hugs TracyG - it's awful when anyone dies but when someone is so young and it's unexpected it can really floor you. Take care xx

DH has put the new sockets in the kitchen. Is it a man thing that means they can't shut doors when they're drilling plaster so that plaster dust goes right through the house? There is a big bonus to this as i've very calmly told him that he made the mess so he is tidying it all up and he's agreed. So he'll do most of my flying today and tomorrow!

I've just been to get DD new shoes for school. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, rant, rage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do they always tell her she has big feet. It's soooo rude! She's nearly 9 and very tall and is now size 4D. Every shoe shop assistant tells her she has big feet so this morning I told her if anyone says that to her she can tell them they have a big mouth and she did. I gave her a big hug and left the shop. We then went to John Lewis and the man there was lovely and didn't say anything and they even had a shoe in a size D fitting. She also needed a coat so that was £38 for shoes and £30 for a coat. Not much left of this months budget.

We're taking them to the piccies this evening as a last treat for the holidays. Paid for my tokens they got for Christmas. I'm working tomorrow and still can't get in my clinic to clean it. It's full of cardboard and paper for recycling and plaster dust! When clients arrive they always say what a lovely calm room it is....if they could see it now!

Very windy and cold here but really enjoyed wrapping up warm and walking the dog. Quite a few cobwebs still need blowing away xx

Pigpen, yeah, I had that on Wednesday because I asked him to get rid of some of his junk from the bedroom. Like the two large TV's, both broken, the 2 car stereos, etc, but oh no, he took that to mean he was to get rid of EVERYTHING, all his MEMORIES. As well as him taking 'We will just pay for them to install the new bedroom fitted cupboard' to mean he was crap at DIY and then he said... well a lot of nasty stuff, mainly involving how the house was a tip and I went to bed some nights leaving the dishes, which his mother never did. So I said 'Well your mother may have hoovered and polished the telly every day and did the dishes before she went to bed, but she never bothered to MOVE anything in the kitchen to clean UNDER it, including the kettle!' and it all got nasty.

So, your right, men are pigs, stuff the lot of them.

And yes, I am still p'ssed off at him, and even though I appoligised, he still hasn't, which I just realised.

    uhm... rant over....

Between us we could set up a scrap metal business. In our back garden we currently have a gas cooker, a hob, a fridge and three metal benches. All of which are supposed to have gone to the tip. And he tells me i'm a hoarder!
