Tracyg, I am so sorry to hear of your partners relative passing away, it's never easy when someone does but always made worse when they are only young. They always say 'Only the good dye young' and it's so right some times. My thoughts are with you and your partner, of course with the rest of his family too. I'm sure he's dealing with it in his own way, men don't handle grief well usually and I find with my partner that I just have to leave him to it and he'll soon let me know if he needs me.
Thanks for the birthday wishes for DS1, I think you managed to make him blush, bless him. Quite a few have forgot his birthday, usually happens unfortunately, people still wrapped up in Christmas etc then when DS2s birthday comes round they all remember and apologise then, thankfully we make a fuss and he doesn't seem to notice much. Went to the pub for dinner, as he wanted, he did go in the play area for a bit but it was too busy for him so he sat with his Star Wars book instead, much happier. I cringed ever so slightly when I paid the billbut you're only 9 once. He goes on wanting to go like a proper party animal but truth is he hates anywhere busy and any fuss about his birthday so within 20 minutes of being there he wants to go home.
Right, anyway, not much more been done here but with not having to cook this evening I think I will do more, the boys are having his favourite of chocolate cake and marhsmallows now so anything else and they'll be ill I think....I got most of their rooms done, just the windows left which I will do tomorrow. I think I will clean all the TV cabinet down, dust everything on it, it's disgusting!
Pigpen my missing ones on Quidco are Littlewoods or LXDirect aswell, I had one which tracked decline yesterday aswell which has made me very cross!!! I only ordered it from then as it worked out cheaper with the cashback.
Hugs to the poorly ones, and I think I will have some of that fab sounding cheesecake hex2 is offering, I love cheesecake (had some in the pub which was nice-diet lasted well didn't it)
One day I might be more organised...........

Lil_me - you've just reminded me about PE bags. I remember putting them somewhere 'safe' at the end of term. I'll have to try and find them tomorrow. Why is it that on a school day I can never find a clean pair of DSs trousers but he has loads of jeans etc in his wardrobe. This is despite the fact that I always wash uniform as soon as it's dirty. However, in the holidays can I ever find jeans for him! No! I've just checked his wardrobe and he has five pairs of school trousers but you can guarantee that on Monday morning they'll all disappear into the ether that is Monday mornings. I'm going on strike! xxJanuary budget

Well the house is nearly getting there. Upstairs is looking the best that it's looked for a while. Downstairs is still a bit of a mess. I've just about finished painting the walls in the lounge just a couple of bits to touch up, then I can actually clean that room properly and put everything back in it. I still need to do the coving and the skirting board, but that can wait for another time.

Evening flyers, big hugs to embb and Maralum and anyone else starting the new year with grim or sad stuff to deal with.
All good intentions about starting back to Flying this week went out of the window. I was supposed to have the evening all to myself after work yesterday and was looking forward to getting on top of a few things but the blummin' snow in the North of the county meant that Mr Messy couldn't get from mine to home. The fact that I got to work and back fine and he spent the day here with my heating (its mine I tell you, not that it's paid for yet ..) and gasfire on had me silently grrrr-ing all evening. Anyhow, I've got this evening to myself but it may only be an S&S and list writing evening. I'm not even going to begin playing catch up because as we all know...it'll come around again next week!
Last night's supper dishes might not wait that long though..One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

Evening all
Tracyg sorry to here your sad news
Lil_me hope your DS has had a great day
Have been and got most of the sports stuff. Need to get a couple of bits on line - my Newitts order has not tracked on quidco - being new to it I am not sure what to do, play hasn't shown either, should they be there by now?
Went to panto which everybody enjoyed and then to Nandos for tea as Mum had promised kids. Little one staying over. None of them wanted to which is strange and Mum looked a bit hurt as they have always loved going there but DS3 decided he would.
Really hoping none of us get that bug - it sounds awful. I still have the annoying cough bug thing and feel quite tired from it today.
Will update list later and see what I get done tomorrow - going to veg on the sofa and have an early night. OH going to be late as he has so much work on.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
