Oh juliejim good luck. My DS2 has the box room and for now most things are in his cupboard, I'm not brave enough to tackle it before they go back to school, it's the old stuff I need to sort through to make way for new. Actually I think the bigger challenge will be DS1s room, definately more in there to get through. At the minute as long as it's all in boxes and on the shelves so I can keep it clean I don't care too much, I'll tackle it when they are back to school. One day I might be more organised...........

just back from baby clinic, and although it looked foul out we wrapped up warm and the short walk did us both good. Charlie also loved watching the other babies, and i got to see my lovely health visitor for a change, rather than the other ones who haven't a clue.
embb back is still quite sore today but the long soak last night and a better night's sleep have helped. Thanks for asking. Hope you manage to get out later once DD is back.
and big happy birthday wishes for Lil-me's DS1. 9. Wow. I can't even imagine Charlie at that age yet, but i am sure it will be upon me before i know about it.
Anyway, cuppa and a sit down for a bit. This flying lark is wearing me out a bit today. I will have to go out again later to pick up the car. It was up on the ramps when i walked past the garage, so hopefully it won't be too late.

Happy Birthday lil-me's DS1!
*does not look at lakeland*
Tesco man has been and I'm all chuffed and impressed! hubby not working till 2pm though, and I had better get him some food before he goes, and DS2 is napping, so no flying yet.
Really must start moving bags of junk to the car to take to the tip, spent ages sorting out what can be recycled. As well as refusing carrier bags from tesco, and taking my own asda re-usable ones, I'm trying my best to be more green.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I have passed them on, I did try to explain and he just said 'so like lots of aunties' I've just left it at that, you're all now honourary aunties
he likes adopting aunties. Michelle trust me it flies over!
I don't know if it's money saving or just plain being tight but there was a present we forgot about at Christmas (only remembered when he pointed one out in a shop that there was one under my bed) so he's had that for his birthday. He's more than happy with it and they have so many things they barely opened for Christmas I am pleased we didn't give him it then, got much more thanks for it.
Have vacuumed through while the boys were playing upstairs, emptied and started refilling the dishwasher too. Kitchen also been wiped over. I have phoned the library, would seem the reason his books aren't showing to rebook is that they haven't been booked out properly, will take them back on Tuesday when the bus is in the village & explain.
I've eventually found the house phone which I have been hunting for all morning, with a flat battery in the garage, bloomin' DP must have used it in there. Oh and 3 cups which were missing. Why he can't just bring stuff back in the house when he comes in I don't know. One day I might be more organised...........

Haven't seen Pigpen this morning. I hope her sore throat hasn't taken a turn for the worst..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Right.
Shredded paperwork that was not needed, filed stuff away, decided what can be filed upstairs etc. PC desk looks a bit better, honest!
Got my notebook, so I can start planning my finances for the year. Decided I really need a notebook/diary, with a page per day and about 30 sheets of note paper after each month for lists and what not, I should market that. hmmm.. wonder what that FLYlady Filofax thing is like...
Now to really think about flying.0 -
Haven't seen Pigpen this morning. I hope her sore throat hasn't taken a turn for the worst..
Thank you for your concern.. but I was just slobbed in bed chatting with hubby and playing with the 2 little ones.
DD3 has dentist on Monday.. then I had to get up when a woman I was expecting on Monday turned up.. she had read the wrong page in her diary and had to be elsewhere lol.. so she'll be back then.
The eczema on me hands is sore and looking a bit infected.. my own fault for chewing it off.. My nail appointment has been postponed until Tuesday as she is off with a bad back.. must be the week for it!
I'll go have a whizz right through.. pick up what I can be bothered with (nick DS1's bed sheets and wash then) and see how much I get done.
Best go find some socks and boss hubby into making a cuppa.. what will I do when I get them all back to work and school and have to make my own tea.. I think I've forgotten how!!Happy 9th birthday

Happy New Year Fly-babes!:grinheart
Now I know it's the end of the week and I've only just shown my face but I have done a little flying this week...... though not much.
Just getting back into the swing of things now. At the moment I feel more scummy mummy than yummy mummy!! Over christmas I had the dreaded vomiting stomach bug along with the flu, conjunctivitus and a throat infection. miraculously the littlies haven't had any of it though my mum and mil were ill too. Thank goodness, for once in my life, I had got most of christmas organised and my lovely sister cooked christmas dinner.
So, this week I've started sorting....... all the christmas decs were away by New Year's day and I've been bagging and boxing stuff. On Wednesday I tackled the bookshelves which may not sound alot but when I say they are 3 8ft bookcases with a double row of books on most of the shelves you can see the extent of the task. So, shelves are clean and I'm sending 2 large boxes of books to the charity shop.
Yesterday I didn't manage alot as there were some bills to pay which meant a walk into town which is about 30 mins. On the way back we came past my sister's house so went in and had lunch with her - tea and toast - yum!
And today, well, I managed to get H to school on time, I've cleaned the bathroom, ensuite and downstairs cloakroom, put in 3 loads of washing, 2 in the TD and one on the airer, emptied and refilled the DW, T and I are now building Thomas the Tank Engine track in the lounge so I guess that means I can't hoover!
Hope you are all well. I have attempted to read little bits this week so know most of you are ok. Big ((hugs)) to those that aren't or just fancy a hug."all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time..."0 -
Afternoon all.
Happy Birthday Lil-me's DS!!!!
Michelle - thanks for the hugs, glad your back is better and to hear your dads doing ok. Know what you mean about less babying them.
Tori - glad DS has eventually stopped being sick!
Embb - big hugs chuck
Been into town this morning and got all by jobs done there as no swimming today cos of the glue on DS's face needing to stay dry. It looks good this morning no bruising or anything and cut looks like its healing already - just hope he doesn't pick it. Got nothing done yesterday so just having a quick surf and lunch and wil get off my butt.
Had some bad news today so hopefully if I keep busy, a young relation of DH's has passed away this morning from a stroke. Its awful, DH is quite upset but wants to stay at work, think he just wants to lock himself away for a few hours to try and forget it IYSWIM and MIL is beside herself. Strokes are wicked things but you never expect them to happen to young people, brings home how short life can be, I lost my cousin this time last year and it feels like its all happening again.
Anyway, must stay busy, so while DS is napping
Dust through
Mop kitchen floor
Empty WM
TD/drape around
Wrap BIL pressie
Wrap engagement pressie and write on card
Take DS out on trike for 10mins when hes up
Collar neighbour to arrange playdate
Sort through this mornings shopping and write spends up
That'll do, can't wait for next to fly properly everyday as I've been bitting at jobs and want to do them in a rountine.
Off to get off my bum xLightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -
HI HopeElizzy - your name was mentioned a few pages back, as someone mentioned that you hadn't posted recently - and here you are! Horrid being ill over Christmas, and I trust you're now feeling much much better!
michelle - Have you looked in B& Q at the wardrobes? Our Warehouse branch has a new range of very glitzy fitted wardrobes. They are not in the DIY bit, but with the lighting, kitchens and bathrooms sections.May be worth a look. DD and I particularly liked the hanging rail with little LED lights -all sparkly and twinkly when you open the door. We spent ages playing with it until the sales assistant gave us a dirty look! I have also been looking at wardrobes, and we're probably going to get one from Ikea to fit ourselves. Oddly enough, OH was very anti Ikea when I suggested it, and then yesterday said he thought it was that solid wood very expensive place??? Where on earth is he thinking of? He's not been to Ikea, or otherwise he'd not have made that mistake - and no, I'm not that spendthrift either!
Happy birthday to lil_me's DS1 from Auntie Serena!!!
rach - nice to have you back! The job sounds great.
I'm just doodling away on here while I have lunch.
Today I have:
taken DS1 to have his hair cut, as when he washed and straightened it yesterday, the fringe was so long I couldn't see his nose, let along his eyes.
paid cheques and money into building society and bank
bought the photo albums from Boots - BOGOF, £5, and 200 points, so equivalent to £1.50 each! Then got a £5 skincare voucher, which I spent on some moisturiser, made sure it came to just over £5, got another voucher...I love Boots.:D
found a half price duvet cover set for DS1 in Next, and treated myself to the new catalogue
washed all children's bedlinen, but they can do the rest of their rooms over the weekend
listed desk and chest of drawers on freecycle
put away best china and glasses in kitchen
And now, I really must stop and go sand down the woodwork in the bedroom. I really hate sanding, so I've been putting it off all day. I have to fetch DD from school at 2.15, as she's doing exams at the moment, and is off timetable. I'd be pleased with myself if I get the sanding done by then.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
