Hello everyone
My new foster dog is here so i was busy tidying up before hand. At the moment the whole downstairs is tidy, how long that will last i have no idea, i hope i can tidy up as i go though and keep it this way, but something tells me i won't
Anyway, tomorrow will be upstairs, then downstairs again, it's like a bleedin yoyo cleaning
Why can't every household have a robot to do the dirty jobs for us?0 -
How often do you foster dogs Kimberley and how long do you usually keep them? I've only just noticed your signature. Do they normally come to you in an emergency? Sorry for all the questions but we've have our own beloved rescue dog for ten years now and I wouldn't ever have any other kind of dog. She has health issues but she's just lovely. Good on you doing such a worthwhile thing xxJanuary budget

I foster all the time until new homes are found for them, it depends on how quickly someone adopts them. The one that came today is already reserved. Basically as one leaves another arrives
I do get emergencies, often ones that have been found dumped on the motorway or sometimes if the owner has suddenly died or gone into hospital.

Hi everyone, I see we are all getting back to normal and there are quite a few pages to catch up on!!
Big hugs to embb, a split is painfull whatever the circumstances. Come on here and vent your spleen whenever - I hope it will help. Good on the MIL for helping out with Littley.
More big hugs to those who have been slashed in the throat by the razor blade monster - I hope you catch him soon and punish him severely.
Hex2 - what a beautiful garden - dont blame you for no flying with that to look after, so much work, but SO worth it!!!
Well my first day of peace with DS back at school. We were quite organised, but as it was cold we needed gloves, and what was the only thing we couldnt find..........
You would have thought I had got loads done wouldnt you - and I suppose I did in a way - got the shopping done, and within budget!!! And sorted out my budget, big result that one. And I havent been a complete imbecile joining the live on £4000 challenge, so long as I keep my housekeeping to £40 per week, I should survive. I did some work and started to sort out some of my carp. So a vaguely good day - must do better tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!Live on £4000 a year again for 20110 -
hello all....remember me?!!
have been super busy this week, only had time to read about half the posts (you have been super chatty this week!). but hello and hugs to all (esp embb sounds like you need them!)
new job induction has gone really well, not only is the job gonna be fab (i think) but my new colleagues (4 of us starting at once as it's a new project) are similar age and background and i think will become friends. that is a relief as moving to a new place is always a challenge on that fronti am very tired though (mainly through having to get up a lot earlier than usual and also getting used to commuting and taking a lot of info in at once!
back home tonight (living more in london than bournemouth at the moment), full packed day of wedding stuff tomorrow, made more complicated by the fact that i came home by train tonight so am relying on lifts and buses tomorrow. i have a more comprehensive list that OH typed out for me (and some stuff on it for himself!) but the plan is:
removal man for quote (coming at 9am)
dress fitting (leave at 10.15am)
meeting with hotel (1pm)
dentist (3.40pm)
sort out postal redirection
change address on bank account
post Amazon sale
prepare for hotel meeting - table names, numbers, menu.
pack another box (pans etc)
fill the wheelie bin!
email flower lady
phone hen day restaurant
coffee with friend?
book bournemouth hen night with curry house!
2 emails re honeymoon accommodation
4 people's wedding accom details emails - 1 2 3 4Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
LOL! Pigpen I've done that too! And put milk in the oven, sugar in the fridge and a tray in the cupboard and wondered why it wouldn't fit.... .
...from about 6 pages ago..!
I do stuff like that, usually picking up cups from the living room, forgetting to go into the kitchen and taking them upstairs to do something else. I get to the bedroom and wonder why I've got a dirty cup in my hand.
Once when we lived in a flat and the freezer was housed in the spare room with the wash basket. I was always finding frozen smalls when I went to get some food out.
