A lap lurker is a child who comes and sits on your lap - I think it is a phrase I picked up from Mrs PPen. Said child has just come back down the stairs to tell me 'something really important - somebody has put toothpaste in the loo'.

Why is he still not asleep at 10:00?

  • back from parents - dad chirpy enough but covered from head to foot in an allergic reaction rash. Hopefully the district nurse will be out tomorrow to check it out properly for him.

feeling poopered now - just sat and wrote a new baby card for my mate so i can get that in the post tomorrow. Car is in for an MOT and a service tomorrow, so i am really hoping the weather is OK. I might have a wander out with Charlie in the buggy to baby clinic and perhaps to take another bag of my 'treasures' to the charity shop. Sister gave me a little suit for new baby tonight, a little smart outfit - white suit with blue waistcoat and dicky bow tie, She thinks new baby can wear it for a wedding we have been invited to next summer.

Big wave to Jill. Due date is the 7th of May, and i am writing a to-do list that would put yours from last year to envy of all the things i want to do between now and then. DH said yesterday he had forgotten how much DIY hurt. ROTFL.

Anyway, i am going to manage a bath tonight in our sparkly (hopefully) bathroom. Apparently DH finished off putting sealant around it while i was out, so hopefully it is dry as my back definitely needs a soak to ease it off a bit or i won't manage charlie tomorrow.

    Nighty night, x

:D I like the lap lurker name, I call them yoyos because they're up and down like them. Ds2 is an expert in tales of bedtime, the biggest yoyo usually, thankfully doesn't tend to sit on my lap as he's not little and squishes me.

Kaz, hugs, think we've all had the 'virus' line from doctors who refuse to admit they haven't a clue what is wrong. I am not being mean or saying doctors don't study etc but some do make you wonder....

Michelle, hope your sealant doesn't pong, ours did that DP used last time and I felt sick when I went for a bath, really strong ammonia smell, urgh. Best hope the scan was right for a little blue one then with the present :)

Watching UKTVFood and it's making me hungry which isn't good, now sat wondering what quick and easy food we have in.....
One day I might be more organised...........

Michelle glad your dad is chirpy

Off to bed for me as it is cold sitting here, I need some goose around me.

cheers to lil_me and Dusty, Dusty I'll let you know if Woolies fails to help me out. He's 4 1/2, sort of avergeish build. I don;t really know what sort of fabric I was thinking of so I guess anything will do at this stage. He loves his England shorts that are shineyish (another godparent gift) so maybe shiney ones would be a winner with him at least!

michelle - so you too are going to partaking in extreme-nesting LOL

Right off to bed in a bit, got all 3 kids booked into creche tomorrow (yikes that will be expensive) while I go to the gym, then got to have baby's 4 month jabs in the afternoon (sob) and then collect a cake for a friend.
If I have time I will wrap a couple of (now very late) Xmas parcels to post (I am so disorganised this year) and get them posted in the pointless 45 minutes between jabs and cake.

    Nighty night

Shiney shorts - got my son his from 'Sports Soccer World' or whatever those discount sports soccer places call themselves now for about £3, he loves them aswell. Think the smallest ones we have here are 8-9 unfortunately so that wouldn't help unless he wants a tent.

Jill just to point out you are allowed to be disorganised, you have a young baby, part of the luxury so enjoy your excuse! Oh and give little one a hug from me, poor squidge having to have injections :( mine never cried until after when they had their injections, weird children.

Right, think I should get to bed aswell, I NEED to start getting up earlier to prepare for the back to school, well I am getting up early enough it's the everything else like getting dressed, dressing the boys, feeding everyone etc I need to get me and the boys back into before Monday! Oh and my Wilkinsons replacements that were damaged when the vinegar leaked also arrive tomorrow, they have arrived at 7am before so I best get dressed as early as possible.

    Goodnight everyone x
