Hello Newbies and welcome back to, eerrmmm, 'oldies'???LOL (Im another sneaking back in)

Morning all, sorry I come back posting and then clear off for a few days. Have tired to post and like someone said it was a beautiful well written drivel:rotfl: that then got lost and haven't had time since. DH has gone back to work today so last few days we have been doing all the jobs that have piled up, can now walk into the garages without climbing. I kid you not a detached double garage was that full that you couldn't get in   - now my car fits in one side and the treadmill is set up the other waiting for me.

Our tree came down the day before New Years Eve, hate the blasted thing.

Been a really good start to the new year (for once), we have finally done a real budget and plan to save, really need to keep money in check as I'm sick of paying of CC to run it up again, its been cleared and cut up, I've addressed a few issues I've got with over spending - does anyone know of a support thread for over spenders? - my sisters got engaged, things just seem to be going well. Have also decided that its time I stopped drinking, it was 1 maybe 2 glasses a night of wine and it was really beginning to make me feel yuck so have decided to cut it back. So all lovely until this morning....

DS (nearly 15mths) was playing in our room while I got ready and he fell onto my bedside table, gashing his eyebrow quite deep. He screamed for about 30 seconds and then went totally quiet, rang my mum to come and take us to A&E as she only lies 5 mins away. Thankfully, hes fine, had the cut glued and Dr given him a good check up and says theres nothing from the bump just watch him. They think it will scar but hopefully will be hidden as its in his eyebrow. Only in A&E about an hour in total which was fantastic and as we went in to see Dr DS came alive a bit and more like his self so that was a relief. Of course I feel torally rotten and gulity about it, DS seems fine.

So am now chilling out for a bit, both had lunch and DS is napping. Going to my mums later for an hour to see some family, should have been quite busy today but have just cancelled everything. Flying wise everywheres clean and tidy from our mad few days and DW just put on and thats it!

    Catch you all later

I've done that several times when I've been panicking about finding my specs., only to find them on my nose..... :o

LOL! Pigpen I've done that too! And put milk in the oven, sugar in the fridge and a tray in the cupboard and wondered why it wouldn't fit....

OK, first time I have internet shopped for groceries and I chose tesco thinking you got cashback, but you don't... so... it may be back to asda next week. And yes, a day early and a bit of jiggery-pokery with the accounts as the shopping account card is an old electron and tesco didn't like it...

I SHOULD be doing housework and tonight doing a budget and How To Become Supreme Ruler Of The Wurld Plan. But my head hurts and I'm still p'eed off.

Going to phone Lloyds and ask for a new card with a horsey on it.

Oh! and to get a nice new Big Notepad Of Horrors And Honours and How To Do What's Needing to Be Done And The Big Holiday Plan.

Tia - we've made a plan like that. All the jobs we need to do, plan for this year, new budgets and projections of what things will be like at the end of the year. Also a timescale thing so we know what we need to do when. We did it New Years Eve and it felt great getting everything down on paper and planning for once.

    • [/STRIKE]Wipe light switches and dust light shades/lights in bedroom and on landing
    • Sort one drawer, making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
    • Wipe door handles and doors upstairs
    • Find a home for something that doesn't have one, maybe a present you or a child received that isn't put 'away' yet because it doesn't have a place
Also did dailies - two WM loads, and hung it all up on clothes horse, plus put towels on overnight, s/s bathroom and kitchen sink, as well as working all day, and having stepson over in evening.

Today, have s/s bathroom, and put towels to TD, and have been at work, so will do rest later.

    Have a good afternoon all.

I'm not really here, I'm washing down walls in the main bedroom - no, honestly, I am...;)

(((embb))) It's not a great time of year for relationships, is there any chance of talking again in a little bit? Or seeking counselling? Happy to listen if you want to pm me, but hopeless at advice!

dustykitten - will try and join you on recipe challenge, but probably only do savoury dish, as also need to lose weight, so no desserts except for Sunday! Yes, I will try to freecycle the furniture, thanks for the idea, although I'm a little doubtful that the wardrobe will hold together after I've dusted it...

    Today I have:
    done the weekly shopping
cleaned the cloakroom and bathroom, to about level 3, minus the shower curtain - forgot.
delivered three children to school, at different times

I have treated DD to a present that is actually for my benefit. I found a clock radio with ipod dock on offer in Sainsbury's. So, now it will be her responsibility to get herself up and ready by 8.30 am. I'm sick of shouting etc. I also found a DAB clock radio for me, extra Christmas present I think! (Haven't bought it yet though).

Now I really am going to take myself off to wash the walls.

Just having a breather. Wet wiped DS2 room, just need to hoover it but going to do the stairs on the way up. Still feeling I am getting nowhere especially as the kids keep winging. DS1 has just done 2 thank you notes and DS1 sent to his room to get on with his!

It is day 18 here - do any of you feel like screaming on that day or is it just me and my odd hormones?

Sausage casserole for tea. I am doing really well at using stuff up from the freezer and keeping the inventory upto date. I am going to have to shop on Saturday for some things but am going to meal plan (yes Dusty you are) to try to keep on track.

Right going to put the kettle on whilst I hoover the stairs.
