Plus point from yesterday, hubby finally, after 5 years, sorted through all his[STRIKE] junk[/STRIKE] 'memories' that were stuffed into all the cupboards in the bedroom.
Bad point, he took it as a cue to argue all day bout me forcing him to throw out all his memories. And because I said I'd rather pay someone to fit built in bedroom cupboards than have him do it. Which meant to him that I said he was carp at DIY... it was a fun day, especially with him then having a go at me for not doing dishes and what not.
So I do have a lot to do, but a childish part of me doesn't want to do it to shove it to him, and another part wants to do it all to shove it to him. Think I'm going to have a great week. :mad:0 -
Morning ladies.
I actually slept in today - haven't done that for weeks! Didn't wake up once with a blocked nose. But, I've a pretty chesty cough now. Maybe, at last, this cold is sorting itself out!
So, I'm still sitting here in my nightie and dressing gown with a cup of tea. Must go and get a bath in a moment then get on with the business of the day. It's market day today so I've decided to potter into town and buy my fresh veg there. This will then probably entail a 'freeze in' as you usually get the best bargains buying in bulk.
My Thursday flying list:
Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One
Clean floors in these rooms (even if it is around the clutter)
Level Two
Clean baths, toilets and sinks
Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk, wet cloth may be needed for cup rings
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
Level Three
Clear clutter from floor
Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Defragment the pc
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt:- Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
- Clean vacuum cleaner out, brushes, filters, whatever else needs doing (make sure it's dry before using it again!)
- Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc
- Sort a wardrobe or part of, a drawer or set of drawers making sure it has what needs to be in it and any 'extras' are put where they should be
- Give the pc desk a good clean! Pull out the case, printer, scanner and all those coffee mugs!

Hug for maralum - Know how it feels hun. We moved so we were living in town/village DH worked so he could save nearly 2 hours a day travelling only for the witch he worked for to make him redundant 5 months later:mad: . He did find another job quickly (hopefully your DH will be lucky too!) but at reduced rate of pay. Still you sound positive and in a good frame of mind about it all and this site will help you no end too:D . Nice to see you back:T .
JillD - nice to hear that you and yours are all doing well.
Got the littles doing thank you cards this morning. Printed them off the web so they have their new huge box of colouring pens etc out and am hoping it keeps them busy for a while. DD1 is doing thank yous for her birthday presents again as DD2 ripped the ones she made with her stamper set up (that was a fun 10 mins trying to calm that down:rolleyes: ).
So far this morning I have watched "how to look good naked" on demand, drank several cups of tea, fed and watered the littles, removed the undies drying on the radiator overnight into basket for sorting, put last nights ironing away, done breakfast dishes. Actually I have actually done something, am amazed.
List today (will have to check what the official room of doom is) but my list is:-
Make loaf and rolls for freezer
Make lasagna for tea (also some for freezer too)
Experiment with my new doughnut maker
Drink lots of tea
Rehoover through
Do tesco order
Phone to accept party invite for DD2
Sort undies basket
Try to shove another 3 bags on rubbish in wheelie bin for tomorrows collection:o
Thats all my brain can cope with at the mo so cuppa first me thinks:D0 -
OH's been round. We've split up. I'm devastated.
Not sure what I'll get done off the list, it might be good for me to clean and do stuff, I really don't know what to do at the minute my head's everywhere
Nice to see you again maralum & Jill xx0 -

Embb, so sorry to hear your news. Cleaning can be therapeutic but you also need to find time to sit down and grieve.
