Another vote for tree allergies - mine is Conifers so not looking forward to taking the Christmas tree down.

Pigpen, I was tempted by the £10 voucher but I didn't actually need anything. Was quite impressed with my self control - rare for me.

I have got one last WM on, the TD running, and the DW just finished. Waiting for 10pm when I can send SS1 to bed and go to bed myself. Everything set out for the morning so no last minute panic over where is my PE kit etc.

Smug glows of self satisfaction here!

LJD1, I think you're right to leave it until tomorrow, I didn't curse the new oven out of jealousy, honest :A and have a big hug from me x
Michelle please take care, you do worry me with all you have on, please make sure you get some rest!
Aimee, we are not oddballs, just special!!!! Someone has to keep medical peeps on their toes!

Oh lilo poor little one having it stuck to him, baby Matthew had an allergic reaction to the tape he had put on him including on his face, was just saying to his Mam I hope it doesn't scar, poor little dot has enough scars without one on his face too. I have meds allergies too, ended up in an Army hospital when on work experience with them, put me in hospital a couple of times when GPs haven't looked to see what I am allergic to and if what they were prescribing contained it. I did also have bad reaction to paracetamol until I was about 15/16  seemed to have grown out of it but it used to make me vomit madly.

Actually lilo, I just noticed you said kids back to school tomorrow! I know one of mine definately goes back on the 7th, I just pressumed the other does, I better check...

Right, been looking on Ebay for a family calendar, wow, expensive! I want another like the one my Dad got me last year which is a me, you and the kids style one with seperate boxes, so will have to look when I am out and about.

Just went to take the washing out, attack of the tissues  possibly my fault for not checking everyones pockets with us all being snotty

Has anyone got any ideas on what to do with a DD who has decided that she's scared when she goes to bed and wants an adult to stay upstairs? DD has been doing this for the past 2 or 3 weeks and comes downstairs crying that she's scared. She's not bothered about someone being in her bedroom with her but wants one of us to stay upstairs.

You cursed it Lil_me didn't you! Come on admit it...there is no way it could have the damage it has naturally, lol! It looks lovely even with the dents and scratches and missing ignition. Oh, and dixons have totally carp customer services and I will never touch them again (unless they reply to my email in a satisfactory manner!). Phew, got that off my chest! The good thing is if we don't use it I won't have to clean it when that's on the list next week xx

LJD1 I promise the curses I make because of oven envy (especially when my fabby even if it's not a range/aga one is in the garage and I can't use it!!!) are only small ones, maybe the buttons were me, but I wouldn't have scratched it :o

julie how old is she? Is there something that has spooked her?

Suppose the choices I would see are

Find out what is causing it and do what you can to reassure her/make her more relaxed (often the hardest is finding out why!)
Go along with it, she'll soon settle (pressuming she will) gradually moving further away
Replace you with something, if she's young enough to fall for the teddy to watch over her
Ignore it, ignore the screaming, it'll likely pass
One day I might be more organised...........

When a couple of ours did this.. we stayed a few minutes then said we had to do something in another room and popped back after 5 minutes.. they were usually asleep by then.. If they still faffed with us up there they got a telling off. If they were awake after 5 minutes we said we had to do something downstairs but would be back in a few minutes.. and we made sure we went back.. then said we had something else to do downstairs.. and went back after a few minutes.. once they realised that we would go back they soon got fed up fo it. With the younger ones it hasn't been a problem as there is always someone else there anyway.. usually DD2 growling 'shut up and go to sleep' at them lol.

Would she have something of yours 'to look after' until morning?? DD1 went to bed with whatever top I'd been wearing that day until she was about 7!!.. and her rabbit..

She's 6 today lil-me. Don't really know what's caused it - if I ask what she's scared of - she normally says she's heard a noise or something - but it's no different than usual she's in the same room, same bed, etc.
