pigpen have you tried putting clear nail varnish on the back? I have to do that with all of my jewellery as even looking at it makes me itch, yes even gold and silver.
Well dinner scoffed and they're now playing baseball, the pair of them are actually sweating playing on it, might be good for them after all as they haven't been outside much over the hols with being poorly. I hardly dare walk across the room, the remote went flying out of one childs hand who decided it was too tight and hit the fireplace, thankfully the metal part, have had WORDS!One day I might be more organised...........

Evening all.
worryingly quiet here, 2 boys listening to harry potter audio tapes and little one filling his new pen pot thing which I let him have in the sale for 49p.
DS1 not going to footie training which is a releif as OH has missed his train due to the tube station being closed.
Bored of washing up by hand now. DS2 to help with the next lot.
Kids bathed this morning so don't need to do that. Going to play a game with little and try to get him to read a book before early nights all round. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I do that on belt buckles and trouser buttons but anything else is too much hassle or simply too big.. and if you buy a 'silver' bracelet you don't expect it to be the highly irritating rhodium plated!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
**scratches at the thought of buttons, belts and zips**
I do have to coat pretty much everything, I'm pretty much allergic to everything, some materials, plastic things like hospital wrist bands used to be made of, plasters **Argh!!** and every metal I think. I have a big scar on my chest where they had the pads on me to monitor my heart and it made my skin blister. One under my bust just started after where one of the wires goes in my fave bra became bare without me realising and I wore it yesterday, just been hunting for something to patch it with as £32 I am not throwing it out!!! I even used to have problems handling money for too long where I used to work, I still have to be careful now when sorting change etc.One day I might be more organised...........

I can't have the micropore they like to use in hosoital.. and the latex thing just baffles most of them too. Sticky plasters.. especially the brown stuff on a roll is excellent.. usually takes the skin off and makes things twice as bad.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

After serious & cautious consideration.....your
Contract of Friendship has been renewed for the New Year 2008.
It was a very hard decision to make. So try not to screw it up!!!My Wish for You in 2008May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts. May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet for £20 notes. May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips! May your clothes smell of success like smoking tyres and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy. May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words ............May 2008 be the best year of your life!!!Sent this by a "real world" friend but thought it very much applies to how I see the MSE Old Style flyladies!
MoamAlthough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Latex and micropore were invented by devil's children, 'it's hypoallergenic' MY AR*E! Stupid made up word for advertising purposes! Thankfully most places now seem to use latex free as a rule, my friend's latex issues are much worse than mine as her throat etc swells when she's even eaten something that has been touched with it. My new nurse hasn't got used to me yet, keeps trying to put a darn micropore plaster on when I've had blood taken, then has it thrown back at her with a request for cotton wool with NO tape!!!One day I might be more organised...........

Well, if that's not just a blatant request for everyone to press the thanks button, I don't know what is....:D
Only teasin' MOAM, lovely sentiment :A - and consider it reciprocated.
Cheers

I thought this was just a me thing - I'm usually made to feel very odd with my allergy. Now I know I'm not as odd as thought I was! lol
However they can do other things - my last op was fun as they struggled to tie in canulas etc with bandages - but not very experienced at tying them - I wanted to leap across the bed and do it myself. The only thing I had to have was the heart monitor pads, but they did remove them whilst I was in post-op so not too many sores afterwards.
Do you have "fun" with wool as well? I'm also highly reactive to woodsap of all things - but I don't sit on too many oozing tree stumps as a rule! But why on earth I was tested for it?
