DS1 just farted on the cat.. who promptly rolled onto his back, legs in the air and eyes glazed over!! Not really sure what he was trying to say.. I don't speak cat.

embb.. here catch *lobs a roll of binbags* hope these help!

We just watched Barbie Island Princess.. what a heap of.. vomit inducing swill!! Honestly!

WS100.. those would be the posts! lol

DD3 just came over and said .. it is ok.. the cat is just sleeping!! ROFL!!

I lost my phone earlier.. searched high and low.. yet recalled quite clearly putting it in my pocket... I looked in the bedroom, the kitchen and the bathroom.. then I realised I was talking to my mother.. on said phone..

Best go play with my laundry and bedding and suchlike..

I got a new bra a few weeks ago.. and it would appear I have 'outgrown' it already.. this is getting silly!!

    Cuppa anyone???

My puppy is lying at my feet as I type. He is meant to be my DD's dog but she went away a week ago for New Year and he is now attaching himself to me. While I was reading and typing earlier he destroyed another cushion so I have just thrown it in the fire! Cushion not puppy. I would describe him as a challenge. Recently the house has been s much tidier because no one dares leave anything lying around and now my hot spots don't exist. We live in a strangely clean and clutter free house.

DH is now worried that I will start to sell everything that is not fixed down like I did last time he was without work.

emmb when my kids were little one of them told Grandma she looked like a vulture!
hex2, it is -4 here already and forecast to be much colder. DS3 is still praying for snow, despite still having daily visits to the hospital about his leg that he injured almost three weeks ago. My lads are all kitted out and ready for skiing, mainly as a result of freecycle with a bit of e bay.

Right I am off to try to tidy bedroom of all the Christmas wrapping stuff etc. I might put a dvd on while I am up there.

AnW's - is a lost post where you type loads of pithy, relevant, insightful and sage words that you'll never be able to replicate only to find when you press submit post - that it logs you out and returns you to a blank 'reply to thread' page?

Yep although I wouldn't necessarily say that this particular post was insightful or sage ;) perhaps that is why it disappeared into cyber space!

Oh well, Christmas tree is down, just a load of boxes to get back up in the loft now. Need to wait for dad to come round and help with that.

Need to try and find the keys for next door, they are not where they usually lice  they must be in that 'safe' place with all the other stuff I can't find.

DD is a bit more lively now, my parents came round with my brother to see her. I think the presents helped! She's not been sick for about 3 hours now and is eating some pasta, fingers crossed it'll stay down;)

  • Well, level 3 done today with a couple of extras - haven't made the bed up yet as letting it all air next to open window. Also, will probably let DH put the new bedding on as he has longer arms.

Hoovered mattress for the first time - that's an eye-opener - I thought someone had tipped a load of talc in to the Dyson. EEEeeewwww!

Addictedtolush - I hope 'the chat' goes the way you want tonight, you must have had a fretful afternoon.

I think that's it for flying for me today, apart from S&Sing kitchen after tea. Having smoked salmon and broccoli quiche tonight, ingredients from Christmas still.

pigpen - determined to get to bed at reasonable hour tonight!

    Afternoon ladies,

First off, a very big THANKYOU to LIL_ME for mentioning the dog's doings. It was a job I kept thinking about and ignoring. However, when she mentioned it in her post this afternoon, it made me realise that actually cleaning up dog poo from the garden was far preferable to trying to get my bank account spreadsheet for the annual accounts to reconcile. And, if we do get snow as threatened tomorrow, the less there is to lurk unseen between any white stuff, the better! So, I went and did it.

Have also made a start on the accounts. It's a job I hate doing and, if I was more organised, I'd do it bit by bit so when year end comes it's not so bad. The reason I do it myself is because the less the accountant has to do, the less I have to pay him! He just does the final profit and loss bit.

But, the list is slowly getting sorted:
    • [STRIKE]Find bank statements and date order them[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Find company cc statements and date order them[/STRIKE]
    • Find invoices in and date order them
    • Print off invoices out and date order them
    • [STRIKE]Compile bank in spreadsheet[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Compile bank out spreadsheet[/STRIKE]
    • Compile CC spreadsheet
    • Compile purchases spreadsheet
    • Compile mileage spreadsheet
    • Compile PAYE/NI spreadsheet
    • Compile Director's loan spreadsheet
