A productive morning so far. Although I've not done the bed sheets, I have taken down the net curtains and washed them and all the bedroom windows. The net curtains are now nicely blowing on the line.

Also have some chicken bits currently defrosting in the microwave ready to prepare a chicken casserole in the slow cooker for dinner tonight.

Think I'll have to start on the accounts stuff.

No, likklegibbon DD still being sick. We are at vomit number 5 i think and quickly running out of things to put on her!!:rotfl: Just going to go and check her temperature. I always know when she's properly ill because she's quiet. She has been lying on the beanbag all morning, only moving to be sick:eek:

It doesn't look like I've done anything at all this morning - but I have emptied all the stuff on my side of the bedroom - all neatly stacked behind the sofa in the living room. I'm just about to clear all the stuff under the bed and on top of the wardrobe, then straight after lunch, load all of OH's car magazines into the car and take for recycling.OH has promised me he will clear his stuff this evening, although he seemed quite surprised that I'm starting the room so soon - I've mentioned it at least daily for the last four weeks!

I've also had coffee with a friend dropping her son off for the day to keep DS2 happy. I think they are off downtown this afternoon, which I need to do as well, as DD needs to buy some birthday presents for twin friends.

michelle - take care! I stopped wearing slippers when I was expecting DS1, and am always barefoot indoors - I remember very clearly when my mother fell downstairs - we must have been visiting someone, it wasn't at home, when she was 7 months pregnant. It scared us all terribly at the time. I think you should definitely stay on that sofa with a good book!

pigpen - my diary is a bit like yours, only the present and Christmas book are separate! It has to stay by the phone at all times, with a pen, or dire consequences ensue! There's a golden rule in this house, that everything goes in the diary. If it isn't in there, then you can't do it. It is great for someone who can't say no when asked to do things - I alwyas say, 'Oh I keep the diary at home by the phone. Can you ring me and I'll check and see if I can do it.' Then. I have extra time to decide if I really do have time and want to do whatever it is!

embb - another good rule - if you're dreading doing something, go do that first. Buy chocolate on the way, if you think you'll need it. (And if it's a job you dislike, time how long it takes to do it. Bet it takes about a tenth of the time you've spent putting it off...)

becca - what are the books?? If you don't want to say on the forum, could you pm me please, I'm dying of curiousity.

dustykitten - I may join your cook a new recipe challenge. What are you going to try next?

  • Hellooooooo

Ok im back. Everyone is out my house, its just me and the cat again and its time to get it straight again. NYD was completely wiped out. We got up at 11, i made everyone help me tidy the kitchen. We drank 2l of vodka and about 2l of other stuff along with 2 bottles of champers and 2 of wine. Between 6 of us!!!! It was a black tie, james bond affair with cocktails and poker. Great fun and i didnt feel ill in the morning. :j Then went to the cinema in the afternoon while everyone recovered and then we came home and flopped and i packed the last 2 off this am.

So my list is as follows for today. Im still off till Monday and going to go see the bf tomorrow so want to get stuff done.

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front
    • Clean inside of fridge
    • [STRIKE]Clean OVEN yes I know you all hate that one wonder how many choose it[/STRIKE]
Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1
    [STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas
Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)[/STRIKE]
    Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –
    • Using the idea Shirley suggested, get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be. Going to do the whole house with this to put things back properly. Done upstairs.
    Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing

    Level 1
[strike]Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh linen [/strike] its on the floor infront of the WM waiting for the current load
[STRIKE]Clean windows and wipe window sills
    Level 2
    Check fire alarms are working
Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
    Level 3
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs[/STRIKE]
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • Wipe[STRIKE] light switches[/STRIKE] and dust light shades/lights in bedroom and on landing
    • [strike]Sort one drawer, making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed - going to do my dressing table and all my makeup etc as i got bits for christmas and it really needs sorting for the use up challenge (i even moisturised after my shower this am )[/strike]
[STRIKE]Wipe door handles and doors upstairs
    [/STRIKE]
    • I also need to pop into work and get a load of bits sorted for next week. As i go back to work to have a week of meetings in different locations across the UK. Feet arent going to touch the floor.
    • Paperwork - file everything that has been piled from last year (how weird is it to say that!)
    • S&S bathroom after everyone used it.
Right better crack to it, broom up bum as Pigpen says....
    Axxx

Humph doesnt seem much ive crossed off, but ive given the bedroom a good tidy, put the washing away, done a 27 boogie fling, put another load in the WM. Now to hoover upstairs, do the paperwork and wang some wetwipes around up there. Then downstairs.

OK 2nd edit with stuff done. Think i might have a break and go into work and get the few bits there done then come back and do the rest.
  • Not doing very well on my first official flylady day. My dp and I may be splitting up tonight, waiting for him to get home later for the make or break chat. Thats depressing me. Ds is being a nightmare, wants everything out to play with and doesnt want to play by himself. The dog has hurt her paw and is refusing to go out for a walk and I am still all bunged up and feeling crappy. Sorry for my depressing thread, now I have got it off my chest I can maybe muster up some motivation. Hope everyone else is having a good day.

Afternoon all. I really feel like I am making more mess than getting anywher.

Almost done DS3 room and he has turfed out some stuff - clothes sorted to be passed on. The rest I need to decide where to sell/charity shop or freecycle.

Kids all bathed, treated, clipped etc.

Half emptied the DW and washed - needing to soak it.

? dishwasher dilemait is at least 8 years old (could be 10, it was here when we moved in and quite new). It is a neff. Do I pay to see if it can be repaired (never had any problem before) or buy a new one which will probably be more eco friendly and will be guaranteed but will be more of an outlay?

Right beans on toast for DS2 and then finish DS1 room before going to town.

Looks like we took third in the Wilkinsons league, maybe 2nd if Runaway Spenders get booted for winning play as well. Not sure how much of this is due to Lil Me's last minute spree but thanks anyway!

Back to w**k, school and nursery tomorrow, new hours, 9.30 to 2.30 Tuesdays and Thursdays so no more childcare for DS1, and a lot less for DS2. Bit of a result for everyone, except financially. I only would have spent it on plants and books anyway.....

The big push before Christmas has meant that everything is properly away for the first time since we moved. My resolutions are to keep on top of the new cleaner house this time, to get the children to do more to look after their own things, and to do as much as I want to in the garden.

LilMe, I liked your New Years Day post, and would like to add a few names Moggins (who got a lot of us into this in the first place), Penelope Penguin and her 15 minute timer (who got seduced away the garden last March same as me), Punky, Lynzpower, BeccaJ, HopeElizzy and many more.

Off for a walk to Dr's for repeat prescription and to take the boys to the park. Then a little weeding, and to do some research on exactly what Magnolia I want for the front.
