    Hello all

I've been away for AGES! Sorry all, a mixture of work & Christmas :o

I need to get back into my flying, the house was looking so lovely.
I'm flatly refusing to do any this week thou, I'm away up to my dads in the morning (finish work at 6am, driving up at 7am), it's my 24th birthday on Friday, and I'm back on the Sunday.
Because my birthday is on the 4th Jan, I always have a week off work, and my New Years resolutions always start after my leave. (I want to enjoy my birthday after all! :D )
This year I have 2 weeks off work, so when I get back from dads I will start flying with a vengence.

I have taken down the Christmas tree, but the cards are still up, the tinsel in the hall & on the mirrors are still up too.

My friend is looking after my dobi while I'm away, and thought it would be easier if she wasn't pulling Shadow off the tree every minute! Would have kept it up til my return else.

Just wanted to catch up with you all before I started in ernest.

Happy New Year to you all.

P.s Just wanted to add my lists, so I know where they are! :D

    Morning all

Don't usually put the computer on this early but I had to look up something about holiday entitlements for DD.

Bed stripped, one load of washing done and the second one started.

    Veggies prepared for dinner.

Then I plan to dust and vacuum all the bedrooms and the landing. And hopefully to run the vacuum round downstairs again.

likklegibbon - when are you getting married? Did I miss those arrangements?

Good to hear from you raphael, mumoftwo and becca and anyone else who has popped in.

Today is DD's birthday so more things to find homes for.

DH about to take my car to the garage and then catching the bus part of the way back and then I'll meet him in Hanley as DD is still asleep after being awake half of the night and she'll want to open her presents when she gets up. We're then going to the pictures to see Bee Movie - DH suggested going Monday but I said wait until today as 1) it'll be a treat for DD's birthday and 2) it's 2 for 1 with Orange on a Wednesday!

Went to look for a new settee yesterday so may go and sort that out today as well. DD has got a birthday party tomorrow and I must go and fetch her a birthday cake today.

Other than that I really can't remember what I'm supposed to be doing.

Will catch up with you later

    Have a good day everyone

Good morning all, I hope you're well - particularly Pigpen.

I'm still so snotty it's untrue - had a bit of a disturbed night with it. Looking at today's tasks, the changing of the bed linen is done at the weekend in my house because it's easier to do it on a day off than when I'm at work. So, I'll have to think of my own tasks for today.

There's one big job - not really OS, which I hate doing but that has to be done and that's prepare my annual accounts for my accountant. So I'll add that job, splitting it into smaller tasks, to the bottom of the list to motivate me.

    Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing

    Level 1
Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh linen - always done on a Saturday
Clean windows and wipe window sills
    Level 2
    Check fire alarms are working
[STRIKE]Vacuum floor in bedroom[/STRIKE] did this yesterday! The vacuum was in my room so I refused to move it to vacuum the living room until the bedroom was done! and on landing landing is laminate so will brush instead
    Level 3
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs

Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen will do this Saturday

Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more
    • 27 fling boogie time, time for that midweek fling, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    • Wipe light switches and dust light shades/lights in bedroom and on landing
    • Sort one drawer, making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
    • Wipe door handles and doors upstairs
    • Find a home for something that doesn't have one, maybe a present you or a child received that isn't put 'away' yet because it doesn't have a place
Right, Accounts tasks - wish me luck ladies!
    • Find bank statements and date order them
    • Find company cc statements and date order them
    • Find invoices in and date order them
    • Print off invoices out and date order them
    • Compile bank in spreadsheet
    • Compile bank out spreadsheet
    • Compile CC spreadsheet
    • Compile purchases spreadsheet
    • Compile mileage spreadsheet
    • Compile PAYE/NI spreadsheet
    • Compile Director's loan spreadsheet

Morning all. Feeling grim still this morning (throat and ears and cough) but the last couple of days I have felt better an hour after getting up so not writing the day off yet - I don't do being ill, it bores me.

DW is not working - DS said it was making a funny noise yesterday and I remember saying to DH that I could smell burning when I came down yesterday - he said it would just be the fireworks in the air but I know my nose!

Can't face emptying it all out and washing it yet - I'll enlist the help of the children to do that, one still asleep, one just got up, one on the ps2.

Right need to find my list so sorry next post will be me too.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Good morning folks! last day of the holidays as it's back to school tomorrow (sure it's never been this early before!). Dustykitten, you sound like me - sore throat, cough, etc. DH has been wheezing all night too. He's gone back to work today so I need to get into gear before he gets home for lunch. Feeling smug as bedding all changed - and mattress turned and vacuumed onMonday! However, bedroom looks a tip so I'll be spending most of the morning in there, though I need a quick trip to the shops and to walk the dogs too. See you later!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
