Finally plucked up the courage to go to OH's and he's in bed  so I stuck a note under his bedroom door, will see what happens but I'm not expecting to be acknowledged.

Had a screaming fit in littleys room cause everything's just fell off her wardrobe on top of me, so she got it in the neck aswell for having crap everywhere especially when I spent 2 days over Christmas getting it lovely! I don't seem to be coping very well at the moment, I just want to curl up and go away. Someone please say something funny I need a good belly laugh.

embb not funny but kids humour, my son said to my Dad 'Who's your favourite Star Wars character?' my Dad replied 'Chewbaca' (dunno if that's how you spell it) my son then just came out with 'Oh yes you do look like him' :rotfl: quick little terror he is, my Dad was not impressed :rotfl: He told his Great Grandma she looked like a raisin last week :o asked if she'd been in the sun too much because she was all dried up and wrinkled.....he seen an advert where they said they used the sun to dry raisins

Happy Birthday to the little ones, G&B hope your little one is better soon x

I think after reading through you all need a hug so ((giant group hug)) between poorlies, men stress and all the rest, what a day! LJD1 have been thinking of you all morning x

Well some jobs done, been to shop and got bits & pieces we needed (bad weather forecast so just some essentials) Council offices (saved myself on parking, didn't realise you can press the button for 30 mins free! until I pressed the button without putting any money in :o ) cleared dog mess (haven't been out there for a couple of days so was a lot, urgh!), vacuumed through all of downstairs, cleaned kitchen dishwasher on with cleanery stuff in as stuff keeps coming out icky again.

I have had to admit defeat in my room, there is no way I will get it all done today. I have done quite a bit and will do more each week to tackle what is left, it's boxes we haven't unpacked basically, so not really bedroom stuff it's just easier to hide them in there.

I've just remembered that we have a tree and lights in the conservatory aswell, we don't use the room much so will have to remember to get those down. Off to look into if there is anywhere to recycle the tree locally.

And Pigpen shhhhhh!!!! :o I wouldn't do a thing like that. If anyone has any untracked spends on the Wilkinsons cup they've said they will try to sort enquiries by February so get them in ASAP. You can still get onto the team pages http://www.quidco.com/christmascup/team/moneysavingexperts
One day I might be more organised...........

  • AnW's - is a lost post where you type loads of pithy, relevant, insightful and sage words that you'll never be able to replicate only to find when you press submit post - that it logs you out and returns you to a blank 'reply to thread' page?

I've had that a few times and it's driven me mad. If it's a longish one I now select all the text, press control+C to copy it so if I'm presented with a blank page I can control+V it to replace it.

Happy New Year to all you wonderful Flyladies!
I know I am a day late but all Internet went off here for 24hours and we just about managed to survive. It has taken me all day to read all your posts. I hope everyone of you has a wonderful year ahead. Thank you for all of your support, especially when my dad was ill etc. sorry i can't even write it. DH is at home now and might be for quite a while so he is doing a grand job at flying (without even knowing it). He has done 3 WM loads, vacuumed all downstairs AND watched cricket nearly all day!

:D Thanks lil_me :D kids are so funny sometimes.

I've used my rage positively and gutted the kitchen, eveything has had a frenzied 'I'm so effing mad' clean I'm surprised there's not holes in toaster LOL and breathe, yes I'm feeling a bit better now. I can cope, I can. Gonna feed littley now who's sitting ever so quietely on the settee, I feel so guilty :o

Hurrah for your OH poohbear , what a good lad :T

it did that to me too this morning AnW but when I logged back in my post was there, not sure how it happened

I've learned from that one. I type MOST posts on Wordpad then copy and paste them, can guarantee the time I forget or think it's just a short one that it vanishes into cyberspace somewhere. I always wonder if it'll arrive on another forum somewhere or in someone elses in box and they'll wonder !!!!!! I am rattling on about.

embb cleaning rage is good, I get more done when I am in a bad mood, sure your daughter is just dying to give you a hug but maybe scared as she knows what a cleaning rage looks like. My boys aren't good at reading facial expressions etc but know usually when to keep out of the way!

poohbear59 sorry to hear your DH isn't working, that must be difficult financially, but good to hear he's helpful, I'll swap you for one who's been on the PS3 and laptop all day! How's the puppy getting on?

ooh, I am right, from the rules:
In the case where a team places in more than one merchant league the team immediately below the placement in their weakest league will be eligible for that league placement.
so we will get 2nd! I just wish I had had enough space, money and time to get in a few more bits. Lil Me I am glad your efforts paid off. My DH thought I went mad at £250, I hate to think what your thought!

Freezing out there, we are forecast not to go above freezing tomorrow, and it may also snow. DH driving up to Glasgow tonight, not the best time to be doing that. I need to clean the wood burning stove out and make sure we have enough wood to get us through the next few days.
