Master bedroom is a place of beauty. Bed changed and vacuumed, hoovered, light switches and lamp shades cleaned, door handles polished, sills and blinds dusted, windows opened for air, new oil burner set up.

Also took down deccies, cleared out newspapers, 2 loads of washing and swept hall floor.

    Oh I am soooooo back!!!

Things are absolutely pants here, DH lost his job two weeks before christmas, so we're financially screwed :( ! Long story, but not an important one, so I shan't bore.

So, I have decided that although I cannot control the whole world, I can control my small area of it, so I'm back and FLYing :j . Also, with DH off work, I have a free [STRIKE]slave[/STRIKE] helper. DH even tackled "the black hole" yesterday and it now looks fabulous :D . It was so terrible, I actually forgot it was a room - do you know what I mean? When a room becomes a plain old pile of house crud as opposed to a functioning space?

:j Happy new year all, I have missed you so much since smallest was born, I feel quite lost without you.

We've had a really good 12 months, but now things have gone pear-shaped on the job front, we're back to avoiding the phone unless we already know who's on the other end and I dread the post. Ho-hum, these things are sent to try us. On the plus side, I've now been sober for two years :D !!! I'm very proud of myself for taking control of my drinking. Thank god for AA!

Laptop is running out, so I'll sign off for now. Take care all, will see you later with an updated list, I have to remember what my dailies are etc. x

Morning ladies, tried posting last night but post went into space somewhere.

Jue hope you got you little one to sleep. Mine is exactly the same and he is one month of being six. He doesn't even like being on his own in the daytime and and sat in DS1's room whilst I cleaned it the other day. I do what pigpen suggested and also he sometimes has a story tape on for company.

Serena I have forgotten what I type to you but on the recipe front I am aiming for one sweet and one savoury each week. The savory will be a chicken and veg in one dish affair I think, not looked at the puds yet.

Who was gardening? Hex? that is my new years resolution to garden more so I will need you to kick me out there somedays.

Right, printer playing up and I am trying to print the late NcPTA membership forms.
Packed away another box of decs last night, only living room and outside lights to go now.

Good news - OH thinks he has fixed the dishwasher. He managed to get it going last night (after I'd emptied and washed it all), going to load it today and see what happens this evening.

No snow here but really cold.

DS1 has a stonking headache and DS3 is still asleep.

    Good morning

Snow is forcast today.. I hope I get to go shopping before it hits. Need to post parcels as well. Definately going to make and stick to meal planner this week.

Although not totally perfect the bedroom looks better and I could walk to my side of the bed without standing on or tripping over something.

Have a good day. Maralum good to see you back, sorry to hear about your OH losing his job, how is the little angel Freya?

Serena - I have remembered - could you freecycle your old furniture? Save you a trip to the dump and could do somebody a favour.

Embb - did you get the response you wanted hun?

Good to see you, Dusty and Mumoftwo, thanks for the WB, it feels good to be home!!! Freya is an absolute darling, as is Owen. I'll post pics to show their progress if I can work out how...I'm such a techno-phobe.

    Tea, toast and honey.

DS1 back in bed as he feels sick. DS3 just got up - in the foulest of moods.

I have sorted a cupboard in the kitchen which was left over from Monday and emptied the WM.

To the shower next and then DS2 room. House still seems a real mess, I do find that with sorting out as I pile all the stuff from the rooms I have done into the hall/other rooms. At least 3 of the bedrooms and clean and tidy so I aim to finish upstairs - bathroom and hall aswell all before lunch.

Good lord Dusty, you're a demon. I've just sorted the washing into different coloured piles and I'm knackered already!
