Dusty I soooooooo know what you mean. They are driving each other mad and so making me a very shouty mummy........and I hate it. I have just had to put myself into a time out to calm down as DD2 whinging for nothing was pushing me over the edge. Can we please cancel the summer hols - I really, really dont think I can manage a whole 6 weeks of them driving each other crackers.

Apple braid out of oven and looking and smelling good, just cooling then will drizzle some icing over it.

Have dug hullaballoo out for littles to play and had 5 mins without whinging, crying or shouting so feeling calmer. I have hoovered through and just making the cheese sauce to go in my lasagnas. Need to put stuff in BM for rolls too.

JillD and Maralum, welcome home :D Maralum I am sorry to hear about your partners job and do hope he finds a new one soon.

Embb, sorry to hear about you and your partner seperating, have a giant hug from me too.

**Adds self to feels like screaming list** however I'm not missing the morning rush and noones even contacted to say when DS1s new transport will pick him up, that's just great he's back on Monday and no idea what time, I hope this ones not frequently late!! At least shell in the summer they can play outside more, my DS2 is willing when it's cold but DS1 has hardly left the house and is driving me insane!!

Done a few things off my list, finally remembered to make the dentists appointments for DP and the boys. Been and got a reduced price choccy log for DS1s birthday which we'll decorate madly with whatever is in the baking cupboard. Saves me making one and was cheap. We have snow here too and trying to make myself not panic buy because of the weather, it's a couple of years since we were last snowed in, but it scares me and I don't like it! Got DS2 some wellies, shop I went in the assistant said they had none in DS2s size (adult size 4 so had to forget kids ones for my 6 year old!! Why can't they do them in kids sizes as I know I've paid VAT on his clothes now which is annoying!!!) so when I found some I asked if they were free :D think she got a ticking off from her manager.

Found the diary I bought, helps you be more organised if you can find it in the first place :o have put in school hols dates when I found the letter, phew DS2 back on Monday as I thought :o would have been embarrassing if he'd been due back today.
One day I might be more organised...........

    Afternoon everyone.

Another busy busy day here, with the added bonus of it snowing all morning. Only the powdery stuff that doesn't really settle, so quite pretty but very cold.

embb, big hugs to you, and also to maralum

welcome back to all my fellow mums to little 'uns. Maralum, JillD, Tracey and tartan mum - tracey, don't feel too bad about Sams accident as these things happen. I nearly broke charlie's leg yesterday, and felt bad until my sister reminded me it wasn't as bad as when she hit my 2yo nephew on the head with a bowling ball and he looked like a vulcan bless him.

lil-me calendar suggestion - try WH smiths. I got a very plain family one. No piccies, week to a page, lovely big squares, space to write about 5 different people/things.

anyway, best crack on with my list as DH has taken charlie out for the afternoon so i can do some school work, so i should have done some by the time he gets back ;)

OOh - DH just rang to say the mclaren double buggy i want has 40pounds off in sale, and so with our vouchers will only be 109, so that has saved a fortune. And another needed purchase just bleeding done. And he is going to be ages yet. :j But i guess that means i should really open the books or live to regret it later.

Will be back in tonight to catch up and hopefully strike some more fear into that list.

Dusty I get that the week before, and morning sickness during. I started a few months ago on Magnesium tablets. They really make a huge difference! I am calmer and I don't feel sick or like I'm coming down with a cold. But... with Christmas, I forgot to take them and went back to normal this month, hence Christmas was so stressful and !!!!!!. *runs off and takes one while she remembers*. And even now i just want to scream and shout and cry, or maybe that's just proper stress. Even so, they help with usual stress too. Or, that's what I tell myself and it seems to work.

Kitchen done, one WM done, post office done, shopping done.

I'd like to say an enormous THANK YOU to whoever it was, and on which ever forum or thread it was on here for talking about throwing the christmas tree out of the window (I think they did it on New Year's day).

For years I have dragged the beast (I always like a fresh one) through the living room, the utility area and out into the back garden leaving a swathe of pine needles everywhere.

Today, I tried the living room window trick. It worked a treat! Pine needles concentrated in one place only and easy to quickly vacuum up.

So again, many thanks. I shall remember that one forever!

Who removed my tonsils and put skinned and par-boiled testicles in their place, lined my throat with razor blades and poked a sharp pointy thing in my ear???

The niggling sore throat I've had for weeks appears to have become fullblown tonsilly-itus and maybe an ear infection as well.. I can't decide if it is my ear or just a throat extension that hurts!

Only one chimp needed shoes thank goodness.. and of course they have nothing in the sale! I am sufficiently reminded why we don't take all the gremlins out in public together.. I am scarred!!!

Embb... big hugs hun... you know we are here if/when you need to whinge moan and offload.

Dusty.. I have a shout and yell day about 4 days before af arrives.. so if you are wierd.. so am I!! ... and we ALL know I am perfectly normal!

    I need a nap...

Has anyone got any ideas on what to do with a DD who has decided that she's scared when she goes to bed and wants an adult to stay upstairs? DD has been doing this for the past 2 or 3 weeks and comes downstairs crying that she's scared. She's not bothered about someone being in her bedroom with her but wants one of us to stay upstairs.

My son did the same thing when we moved to this house when he was 8, so we left the landing light on. He is now 21 and when he comes home from uni he has just told us he is still scared in that room. We also gave him phosphorus (homoeopathy) and it calmed him.

    Hiya everyone
Welcome back Maralum. I hope your OH gets another job quickly.
Embb - hugs to you xxx

I'm tackling the master bedroom today. I can't do anything downstairs as our kitchen has spread right across four rooms now. Funny, I thought getting a new cooker was a simple job - silly me! The good news is that the gas man is coming tomorrow to disconnect the hob that is dangling by ropes from the ceiling and he'll also connect the new hob. DH is currently putting more sockets in the kitchen and moving switches. This means we now have tiles off the wall. I'm still amazingly calm about the whole thing!

DD is cleaning the guinea pigs out. We've told her she can keep them in her room if she keeps looking after them as well as she has been doing. The poor little things are in danger of being loved to death! Apparently they love to have ello houses made for them!!!

DS has tidied his room and is currently DSing.

DD is off to the theatre tonight with Brownies so it'll be a late night for her. Wish I was going to escape this mess but I guess I just need to get stuck in and tidy it up a bit.

    Take care xx
