G&B everyone argues at Christmas try not to fret too much, it can't be any worse than what I said to my OH on Friday (lmao) who still hasn't come round btw
Kitchen S&S'd, sorted out the silver tray food from the party, froze some of it and put the rest on smaller trays so they would fit in my fridge properly, hopefully everyone will nibble on that all day, except littley, cause she doesn't like any of it  I actually washed up in the sink - shock horror  it was strange and I kinda liked itwell it is the new year
Still haven't made my way upstairs yet.0 -
I'm off now, kids are waking up, i'm grabbing a shower before they do. Please try not to overdo the housework, it can wait until tomorrow, try to relax and spend the day letting others wait on you
See you later :beer:0 -
Morning all
Welcome newbies and returners and hello NewMrsL
Kids had a great time last night and it was great to be socially. DS3 really wants a wii for his birthday (in feb) and I might get it just for ease - I'll see what the availability is like. Last year he had an old bike of DS2's for his birthday and he had a £7.50 skateboard for Christmas so really it is his turn to have a little money spend on him.
I have stripped 3 beds and got DH to help me turn all the mattresses. Off to the shower, then lunch, prep dinner and then DS3 room.

liloandstitch wrote: »THANK YOU to pigpen and lilme for your suggestions re duvet - I am hoping that airing it outside will solve the problem. It is a huge super kingsize winter quilt so I have b** all chance of fitting it in my washing machine - and we dont seem to have a laundrette in my town?!? I get to look after DS and do the housework - but I am on my nice shiny new laptop which was a xmas/anniversary present so I am prepared to overlook everything at the moment¬!!!!!
We all chipped in and got my mother a laptop.. so she's been useless too lol.
I didn't realise the duvet hadn't been washed.. sling it in the bath and stomp on it!!! leave it to drip dry on the line.. it is usually REALLY heavy to get out there but it dried quickly due to it being plastic hollow fibres inside.. if it is feathers I'd whizz it to the dry cleaners pronto!! .. they usually have huge WM's for such occasions!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

:j :j :j Happy New Year!!:j :j :jWishing you all health, wealth and happiness in the year to come. I'd also like to say a huge big thank you for all the help and support, not just with dirty ovens and feathery rooms (!), but during the not so great times as well - and celebrating the good times too!!I was up at midnight, but not on the computer, nor, funnily enough, was I ironing!!This is the first year except for the millennium that we've all stayed up to see the New Year in, mainly because DD was out with friends, and I had to pick her up just after midnight. We had a very nice rosé wine that we were given for Christmas. I spent the evening doing last month's accounts... nice to start the year with that done, even if I now know for certain I have practically no money this month!lil_me - you made me fill up too...So far today, I have eaten too many Turkish Delights (they were looking untidy;) ), made profiteroles and chocolate sauce for lunch, taken the cards down and made a list of who sent them - is there a Heather on the flyladies, or is this an old schoolfriend??! The children's presents are all relocated to their bedrooms, and I have taken the decorations off the tree. I now need to persuade (bribe or threaten) a child to get the ladder out of the garage and get the boxes down from the loft then finally I can vaccuum, and put the furniture back where it usually goes.caw63 and beemuzed - Welcome!! You'll be very happy here, I'm sure! And welcome to any other newbies I may have missed. Remember, start with 'babysteps', and don't try and play catch-up, as the rooms will come around again. Start at level 1, and I'd also suggest a bit of decluttering. I struggled to start with, with years of mess to get sorted. I'm not there yet, but wow, there's a massive improvement! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
