Now cuppa and livingroom.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
It's what most of us do upsey - helps to see how others are getting on, and if we can write down that we've done something, however small, we feel that progress is being made
This is soooo true! My place has never been so 'up together' since I started posting on here. Mind you, that was only a couple of weeks ago and I'm on leave at the moment - it could all go horribly wrong once I'm back at work next week. But, that, I guess, is when I'll need this thread even more!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Now I'm feeling really smug!
But don't know what to do next. I'm in a fidgetty sort of mood.
I don't know if DS and DiL are coming back for dinner so was wondering what to do. I'll have to phone DS shortly. However, as I have a glut of peppers, an aubergine and some courgettes that won't last much longer also some tomatoes that are beginning to look quite sad so I think I'll do a moussaka type thing and any that's not eaten tonight can be frozen (and added to the inventory!)
LEFT FROM MONDAY
Level Two
[strike]Clean floors Already done the utility area one - had to - one of the cats decided they couldn't wait until I got up so peed all over it! Just need to to bathroom and kitchen[/strike]
[STRIKE]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front[/STRIKE]
Level Three
[strike]Wipe window sills, clean any marks off windows if required[/strike]
[strike]Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky [/strike]
Extra Mission:
Choose one or more of:- [STRIKE]Clean inside of fridge[/STRIKE] It's positively sparkling!
- [strike]Sort through cleaning cupboard, bin empties and move what needs using first to the front[/strike] This was actually a useful exercise - I found several things which were lurking under other things. I won't need to buy rubber gloves for ages! I also went one better and cleaned the cupboard whilst everything was out.
- [strike]Clean OVEN yes I know you all hate that one wonder how many choose it[/strike] I've done the outside. And, I only gave it a real good going over about 10 days so I refuse!
- [STRIKE]Check the freezer, maybe work what is in there into your meals for the week so you can spend less on groceries[/STRIKE] I even went as far as making an inventory which I've typed up and stuck on the freezer door. I didn't realise I had quite so many home frozen portions of leeks and with 14 packs of butter, I have my own butter mountain!
Level 1
[strike]Vacuum floors and sofas [/strike]
[strike]Level 2
Dusting, even if around everything [/strike]
[strike]Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe[/strike] I'm all on one floor so there are no stairs
[strike]Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets[/strike]
Level 3
[STRIKE]Wipe light switches and[/STRIKE] [strike]banister[/strike]No banisters!
[STRIKE]Clean any other glass like mirrors etc[/STRIKE]
[strike]Tidy shoes, coats and bags[/strike] These, surprisingly, are already tidy
[strike]Vacuum under furniture (only if you won't hurt yourself doing it, don't want any injuries)[/strike]
Extra Mission:
Pick one or more of the following tasks –- [STRIKE]Clear one hotspot, or just spend at least 5 minutes tackling it[/STRIKE] No real hotspots at the moment
- Card list - suggested by serena - make a list of who you have received cards from, their addresses and put it somewhere safe! (Mine will be in the decorations bag, someone remind me next year please I'll forget) Will do this on Thursday when I take the decs down
- [strike]Clear one shelf, dust and replace items after giving them a wipe over[/strike] Actually did this yesterday with a book case which had 5 shelves so I'm pretending I've done it today!
- [STRIKE]Clean a window, only need to do one but if you manage more then well done[/STRIKE] Cheated a tad on this one - the main windows are still OK because I did them a couple of weeks ago. So, I did the inner front door which was real fiddly as it is stained glass and then I did the internal kitchen door window and also the porch and outer front door windows
- [strike]Using the idea Shirley suggested, get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be. You could delegate and give everyone their own misplaced things to deal with[/strike] Done - I counted 28 things!

Afternoon.
Mumoftwo missed you, welcome home
Upsey You'll struggle to waffle as much as some of us - my posts often follow each other with inane drivel.
Have stuck DS2 back together after he fell off his dirtboard and bathed him at the same time so that is one done. He must be alright as he is starving so spag bol for him in a minute.
Done really well in the family room. DS3 has parted with enough toys in here to make room for his new ones (we did not go mad so not heaps of stuff).
Leaving my desk in here until office day though.
DS3 bed hoovered so going to make that next and then our neighbours have invited us in for a drink - it would be rude to refuse so will pop in there soon just for an hour.
See you all later for a list update.
Soapie you are doing great with the cleaning and the meal planning/freezing.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I'm now gonna prize myself towards the fridge to see whats left in there, knowing that I must do something with the fillet of beef as it wont keep much longer and I cannot throw expensive meat like that away. Happy New Year everyone!
I'm back at work tomorrow, so am back in with a vengeance. I had family staying over who have only just gone, and all the flying prior to Christmas meant I could get through it without any problems, and nothing major needed doing prior to their arrival :j
Back in tomorrow though - am shattered today!

Thanks for the thought Kaz, though by the time I had driven to yours, it'll be almost tomorrow and I'd have a new set of tasks of my own to do!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
