FAITH
Let your faith be bigger then your fears, and your dreams be bigger than your doubts
Today I choose
Calm over chaos
Flow over frustration
Peace over perfection
Faith over fear
Heart over hustle
And alignment above all else
HOPE
If you only carry one thing throughout your entire life, let it be hope. Let it be hope that better things are always ahead.
Let it be hope that you can get through even the toughest times. Let it be hope that you are stronger than any challenge that comes your way. Let it be hope that you are exactly where you need to be right now, and that you are on the path to where you are meant to be.......Because at these times, hope will be the very thing that carries you through
Nikki Banas
We must expect finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope
Martin Luther King
LOVE
Charity isn't about pity, it is about love
Mother Teresa
The Prophet said "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity"
.(at-Termidhi)
Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don't judge or categorize someone else, when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or keep quiet
CHARITY is accepting someone's differences, weaknesses and shortcomings, having patience with someone who has let us down or resisting the impulse to become offended when someone doesn't handle something the way we might have hoped
CHARITY is refusing to take advantage of someone's weakness and being willing to forgive someone who has hurt us.
CHARITY IS EXPECTING THE BEST OF EACH OTHER

I had to buy some milk this morning as OH can't drink his cuppas without, so no NSD for me today. That is all I bought though (having said that the corner shop has a limited range and nothing terribly tempting unless you are into lottery tickets and lager
).
2 old landline phones left the house today, so that is one corner minus messy wires etc. Tomorrow morning a lady from a local toddler group is going to collect a basket of outgrown toys and books, so decluttering is ongoingI have also discovered that Oxfam will take unwanted mobile phones to resell or recycle. I have two that belonged to my brother now surplus to requirements, so will make an effort to take them to a local shop this coming week.We did a small shop last week, and have been using up various items from the fridge, freezer and larder. It won't be a big shop this week either, as we are going away next Saturday for a few days with DD2 and her family. We will take most of the food etc needed between us, so don't anticipate much food spending while we are there.Grateful for space freed up from unwanted items leaving the house, and from using up foods we already have rather than buying more6 -

A busy few days. Wednesday was all about visiting, mum in the morning, a friend for a walk & Wool Club in the afternoon, then 2 other friends for tea out. Thursday was spent sewing with a film on in the background. Friday I took mum shopping, then our coal delivery had arrived, so moved all 40 bags myself. Had a job rubbing all the soot off my hands, but thankfully it did before I went out. Used my bingo won voucher to pay for mine & my friends meal (she paid the excess), then we caught a bus to town & had a couple of cocktails, before her husband dropped me home.
We'd thought the man was coming to fit the new door yesterday, as the weather was forecast nice, but he'd planned today, when the weather was horrible. Ho hum, hopefully next weekend then... Went for a walk with DH, then after dinner I moved the rest of the cut up firewood into the wood store, & organised the wood still to be cut. Knitted a sproutmas bauble for DS1's GF. Going to make one for the DSs & 3's GF too in their favourite colouts. Unbeknownst to me, DS1 had also written DS2 a letter & gave him a small gift, to try & rekindle their relationship too 😍
Today I've been & bought some more coal from a lady, then emptied out my wardrobe to see if I could find Narnia! Removed half the loose fabric & put in bags to go in the shed, then filed some school reports, newspaper cuttings, etc in each of the DSs memory folders. Hasn't been done for years! Lots of happy memories had whilst looking through them.
Grateful for decluttering, getting more organised, happy memories, staying cosy inside & away from the stormUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Our winter logs arrived yesterday, so definitely not a NSD! I had to help OH cart them all up the garden path and stack away in the log shed. Could have done without that to be honest, as I was still feeling the after effects of my flu and covid jabs. Hope we won't need more logs this winter, as the price had risen massively. OH has serviced the stove, and added new seal stuff to the door etc, so fingers crossed it won't use so much as last year.I also picked a load of spinach and chard from the garden, and cleared out the fridge and fruit bowl. I made a huge Greek spinach filo pie, which I am hoping will be ok as the half pack of filo sheets I got out of the freezer had considerably fewer sheets in it than has been the case before, so it has fewer layers than usual. I used up various oddments of cheese in the pie, as well as the pack of feta that I had bought for this purpose, and found some peppers that I didn't know I had. I stewed up all the uninviting looking apples from the fruit bowl. We are going away for a few days on Saturday and I will make a crumble to take with us.Today won't be NS either, as it is shopping day. Not a big list (must check it in a minute) and I will stick to it. We normally only shop once a week, but may need to get some extra fresh bits later on in the week to take away with us.6

Good morning turtles. Nothing really to report. Will try for an NSD today but may need to buy a loaf of bread. Have been staying at a friend's place in town while she's away and it's been lovely not to have to do my usual commute. Looking forward to a week off work next week. Have a wonderful day turtles xxStudent loan £5655

Today I am grateful for my time away in Málaga and time with family, for dh and I painting more wall and being able to move a large piece of furniture in to the area thus freeing up space in the lounge, for things leaving the house (bookcase - sold, coffee maker - free, children's toys - sold, items to charity shop), for finding 95% choc in the liddle in Spain - I brought 3 bars of it home with me!

Well today has been nice enough. Weather was mild enough to wear just a jumper so I’m happy with that.Your time in Malaga Apple sounds lovely. Some much needed winter sun and family catch up. I’m looking forward to a week off next week. Got a few Halloween themed activities but I’m most looking forward to no alarms in the mornings. I love a slower morning.Up to nsd #10 now.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #8210
