Well done @beanielou & @weenancyinAmerica too for not damaging your flatmates!
Been a busy week. I've met up with a few friends, got more tidied outside & been knitting baubles in the recipient's favourite colours ready for sproutmas.
Another NSD yesterday. I loaded the car up with lots of twigs, plywood, etc & after taking a detour to drop DS1's car off at the finishing point, we took it all to the dump, then set out on a long clifftop walk. The leaflet said it was 10/11 miles long, but we didn't stick to the cliffs, & walked through a couple of fields, so ended up being just over 6 miles. We came across a sheep, stuck on its back, so I rolled it over & it stumbled towards the rest of the flock. We could tell that blood was flowing to its feet again, as it wasn't so wobbly & stopped stumbling. We were pleased when we got back to DS's car anyway! Would love to have shared a photo with you all, but can't get it to work!
Today I took mum shopping. Had a small spend myself as I'd done my big shop on Thursday with my L1DL 10% off, before it ran out. Cut up & stacked the last of the firewood this afternoon. Sewed the buttons on my finished cardigan tonight & started on another bauble, whilst watching a film with DH.
Grateful for hopefully my new door will be fitted tomorrow 😀, that mum had some variegated wool in the colours I was looking for, time to craft & readUse it up, wear it out

Happy Sunny Sunday to all. I just wanted to drop in and say how grateful I was for my swimming friend texting me last night to go for a lake swim this morning. It was absolutely glorious, the water was clear, the sun was warm and it got me out of a slightly miserable spell.
Somehow I survived October. And this week I look forwards to having most of the week off.

Today I am grateful for the extra hour of sleep, for my 3 bus journey being so lovely, for dh and I building a garden storage box without arguing, for today's sunshine, for having Pip home - he was only gone for one night, but missed him!!

Wind & rain here, but luckily it was on the back of the house, so my new front door could be fitted! 😀🎉🎉 It looks very smart, the glass panels look like Jack Frost has made little patterns on it. DH is relieved he didn't fit it in the end, as the old door & frame were full of water!!
I spent the whole day replacing zips, so 3 less coats to do this week, when I return to the day job tomorrow.
My brother phoned after tea & I collected DS3 from his bus.
Grateful for my lovely red door, good radio & TV programmes to have on in the background, my friend gathering autumnal trappings when in Scotland last week, ready for when we make wreathsUse it up, wear it out

I can’t believe we are in the last week of October! The last three or four months, I have been terrible at checking in here but I’ve been reading along and enjoying reading other turtles’ updates. Don’t know what is going on with me because I seem to have lost my routine. Hoping it shows up again soon. XxNST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6

Yesterday I managed a nsd so I’m now on #13. Hoping today stays a nsd too. Feeling full of cold today. Need to clear it by tomorrow as want to enjoy a spa day tomorrow. Love a new front door @Thifty_Taylor just imagine how much warmer your house will feel through winter with a new front door and should be cost effective. Having an extra hour in bed yesterday was lovely but it being dark at 5pm yesterday was not. So difficult to get out and about and do stuff when it’s dark from so early.

Another nsd here. Made it to 14. Didn’t use the car today either. Walked the kids to the park and back, all meals from stores. So grateful to live walking distance from parks and recreational spaces. Glad for dry enough weather to walk in. Glad for good things on tv to catch up on.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #826
