They notified me and also put the money in. I think the notification came first.

I have now fulfilled the conditions for the monthly payment. I am wondering if they will be as fast for that.

Do I get it right that in order to benefit from this offer you need a smartphone, that supports Google Pay/Apple Pay/Samsung Pay?
If you have a Google account, you should be able to add a card via https://wallet.google.com/. I would have thought that that would satisfy that particular condition, but I can’t guarantee it.
@Emily_Joy ... indeed it is a condition to add the card to a digital wallet, by whatever method. When you do it you will need to enter a pin sent to the account's registered e-mail or phone and then you will get a 'congratulations' e-mail or text from Co-op Bank.

Customer Service have advised me that we do not need to use Google Pay or any digital payment to receive the incentive.

I added my card via the above link, but I didn't receive any pin / verification code from the co-op. I can see my card showing on the google wallet website, as per the sreenshot below, but it appears the condition is not being met... as I met other requirements on Monday and haven't received my 75GBP yet.

Hi Emily, I presume then you haven't received the e-mail 'Important information about your Switch and Stay Offer' ... headed 'Switch and Stay Incentive' (as posted above by @ThePirates) ... 'Congratulations, you have qualified ...'. I received the e-mail the day after I'd met the conditions.

Maybe worth a phone call to find out what the hitch is ... noting you have up to 30 days following switch completion to meet the conditions.

  • Got my £75 paid.

I just cant decide whether to keep going for the other £75 or just go to the Santander switch which will give me the £170 including Cashback.

Santander also gives you a reasonable (5% I think?) Regular Saver option as well as a good rate (6%?) on up to £4000 for 12 months. I've been wondering about a Co-Op Switch, but all my current accounts are linked to Regular Savers, so I don't think I can/will.

Open another to switch would be the solution

Santander's 5% regular saver is a pretty poor rate, according to Moneyfacts there are 25 regular savers beating it presently. I know there are some people on these boards with double that number of regular savers, but given there are easy-access ISAs beating that rate the use case for it is pretty narrow.

I'd go for the other £75 whilst you can, if you choose not to go for the £75 and switch away now the opportunity for you to grab it shall be gone for good.

Santander have offered switching offers on several occasions before and I'd imagine shall do so again in the future so you could grab the £75 from Co-op now and then a Santander switching offer at a later date.

I assume if you are switching into an existing account,  the criteria you have already met eg register for app don't disqualify you because you've already done them pre switch?

People, including myself, have reported on receiving the original £75. I got this very quickly, only a couple of days before qualifying.

It would be good if people could post on how long it took to receive the monthly payments. It's been over a week since I qualified. That wouldn't be much except in contrast to the other.

The monthly payment of £25 is paid one month after you initially qualified for the £75 - regardless of how soon you complete the tasks to qualify for the Monthly payment. In my case I qualified for the initial switch incentive of £75 on 19th October (and received an e-mail to confirm this). That started the one month counter for me to qualify for the first £25. I actually completed the criteria within a few days. But didn't receive an e-mail or the payment until 19th November.

So step one is fill in the switch form. I have just done this. It then says there are a series of things I have to do "by the 30th day after the switch". Can J start them now or do I have to wait until the switch has happened?
