The minimum and qualifying transactions should be as outlined by crumpet_man in the previous discussion.
There is also a MSE News article from the 27th September 2024:

It seems that around 900,000 individuals are eligible for this deal, as reported in the article. It is to be hoped that the cardholders in question have been notified and have chosen to opt in if they desire, before the month's end.

Anyone know whether grocery purchases at M&S will qualify for this? My gut feeling is they won't as it will class as a department store. I tried HSBC live chat but they were hopeless.0

When I've made purchases in the M&S Food Hall with my Halifax debit or credit card, it shows the category/classification as Grocery Stores, Supermarkets.
I would imagine HSBC use the same classification, but you don't have the functionality with the HSBC app to tap/drilldown to see further details or even view a map to see where the purchase was made.2 -
I didnt get an email. But I did have the pop up on the app. So I have opted in. Ive got to make 10 transactions.
Has anyone got any clever ways of making the necessary £500 worth of purchases? I dont spend that much on fuel and food!0 -

crumpet_man said:Make a least 10 qualifying transactions and then they all qualify for cashback. Nine or fewer and no cashback.0

Giftcards, either for your supermarket of choice or wherever you may spend money in the next few months.

Like others I’m finding the term “discounters” very vague, would Lidl and Aldi be discounters ? I presume home bargains, B&M would but someway of clarifying would be good1

We won't know until the end of the month, but I would be very surprised if any grocery stores (regardless of their trading proposition) are excluded. What I'm less clear on is food halls within department stores (i.e. M&S).

Just received my October statement.
I thought some of the cashback fields might have populated this month but obviously not.
I will have to wait until this time next month to see the accrued cashback for October. 🤞
