Haven't had mine yet - but online chat agent said there were some delays to some payment - but assured me I'd get it - so will wait and see.
I just had an online chat agent tell me i won't recieve my October cashback until 15th Dec. They said because I opted in late in Oct it will not be processed this month and I will recieve it at the same time as the November cashback.

I can't remember when I opted in - but looking tonight I still haven't received it.

Still haven't had mine. Spoke to the customer help online on Friday - they said give it 24 hours - still no payment - tried again this evening - they say lots of customers are experiencing the same problem, and that they aim to sort it by the end of November.

  • I hope it does get resolved by the end of the month not only for you but the other people waiting.

I received an email earlier in the week from HSBC but this time they’ve acknowledged that I opted in to receive the 10% cashback.

“We know this is an expensive time of year.

That’s why we wanted to remind you, you’re opted in to get 10% cashback up to £50 per month when you use your HSBC Visa Credit Card this Christmas for groceries, fuel and travel in the UK.”

  • I've just been having a look through our recent business charge card transactions with the Bank of Scotland (part of Lloyds Banking Group) to see how they classify their merchant categories. Might be helpful with the HSBC cashback. 🤷‍♂️

£50 cashback has appeared in my transactions. Hurray! But this looks like it's just for November. Was expecting £50 for November and about £15 for october,  so still missing the October cashback. 😔

Hmm. Looks like the big transaction I made on 30 November hasn't been included in the November cashback.

So is it going off the statement date of the transaction rather than the actual date of purchase?

Very frustrating hour long call with HSBC which didn't really go anywhere. Had to read the T&C to the call hander several times. They seemed to be convinced of the following:

    1. The cut off for the months cashback is the date of your credit card statement, not the end of the calender month.
    2. To qualify you have to have made a MINIMUM of £500 worth of qualifying transactions in that month.
    3. To qualify you have to have made at least 1 of each of the three types of purchases (groceries, fuel, transport) - so if you only have grocery transactions, you don't qualify.

I know for a fact no. 3 is incorrect because I made no purchases for transport in November, but still relieved the cashback. And the other two claims see dubious to me. Doesn't seem to tally with the wording on the T&Cs. Can anyone confirm?

After several minutes of back-and-forth and him disappearing on hold randomly, the whole argument suddenly changed to 'you didn't opt-in to the offer!' - I have a screenshot of the offer acceptance so i can prove otherwise.  Eventually they offered to log a complaint for me. I just wanted the call to end at this point so just said yes. I am dubious that any complaint was submitted but at this point I'm struggling to justify spending any more energy on chasing down £15 of cashback!

I had a purchase on 30th November which had a statement date of 2nd December and that qualified.  The online statement does show the transaction date as 30th November.
  •  £49.88 cashback credited yesterday, 11th December, with the transaction date being 10th December 2024.

Doesn’t look like it includes a £75 purchase on 30th November but that could be carried forward, as per point 1 of @mrkds post above; my statement date is around the 20th of each month.

    £97.34 cashback so far.
