Thanks @sexymouse the Napisan came today but I've been doing other washing to day so will tend to the table cloth tomorrow, hopefully. I try to lift carefully, bending my knees, but I often have to give support to A when he's getting in and out of the chair or the car and it pulls on my muscles. I don't know if that's it but if it is I'm not sure what the answer is. If you have school-age children then I am a good deal older than you so it could just be getting older combined with being on the go all day long.Did Connections - was everyone doing game 182? Edit: I've now discovered I was look at a different one and I"ve seen the NYT one. I think that @Honey_Bear is doing the same one I was doing. This morning I washed up A's breakfast things and then washed the towels and put out fresh ones. I did another load of washing and some TDing and am now doing the last load. More drying will follow. I popped out to the shops for a few bits and came home and booked that car in to a garage as a warning light has come one that needs to be investigated. I also made an appointment at the dentist as two teeth need attention.Made lunch and washed up again and S&S in the kitchen. I halved some plums, sprinkled them with brown sugar and poured over some Marsala and roasted them for 20 mins. A had a raw one and declared it to be tasteless so I hope the cooked ones are better.
How is it 20 past 5 already?

Hope Mr Ionafan gets well soon.
Today started off well with a fab new dance class - it's meant to be a trial so I praised it to the manager on my way out.
Did quite a bit of weed pulling. Watered greenhouse, picked tomatoes, collected apples which are dropping rapidly.
Then my day sort of fell apart. No long stories to bore you with and make me cry even more, but it is decided that Mum needs to be moved "upstairs" in the care home i.e. the secure mental health/dementia unit. I understand it is best for her with more staff, fewer residents and quieter environment, I agree with their decision but it is what I have dreaded so I'm in bits.
Then had a not altogether unexpected message to say my niece had passed away in the hospice where she has been for several days - my age, long history of severe Crohns. We weren't close-close but friendly; don't meet often but got on well when we did. I feel for my oldest step sister, her mother, and her husband/children/grandchildren. I'd actually mentioned to Mum in my last phone call that M was 'very ill' but I hadn't told her how ill.
Had planned to do a moonlight swim this evening but can't motivate myself. Have started dinner preparation so will do drumming practice then sit with ever-patient Mr N and a box of tissues on the sofa with some TV, probably Grace - nothing like a murder to brighten one's day.
Any please nobody say things come in threes as my bestie and swim buddy has an op tomorrow; it is meant to be straightforward but she is one who reacts badly to anaesthesia so I'm now worrying about that.
Preparations sound fab Honeybear, have a great time.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
*Healing vibes* for Mr Ionafan.Baking brownies is more important than dusting.
Thanks to HB and Narc0 for the GWS wishes for my DH. I have done very little today except take him to the GP, pick up 2 separate emergency prescriptions for him, and cook for us both. He is eating, but not much.
Gentle (((hugs))) to Narc0. It's totally understandable that you are upset about your mum - hopefully she will settle quickly and be happier in the quieter environment with more carers. And I'm very sorry to hear about your niece. It's a rough time for you and your family xxx6 -

Am in bed, bushed, as have been walking round York today in the Autumn sunshine. I splurged on a new throw but mine is Ocean and it’s sea colours. Bought xmas cards in Mind chazzer and was much amused by the Tears for Fears song being played…and resisted ‘bargains’ in another chazzer and was thrilled to watch Dom from Repair Shop doing some filming.albeit briefly, in the Minster stonemason compound.

Thank you Honey Bear5 -
(((Hugs))) Narco.Lovely throw Valli and such good use for plastic bottles.Kitchen ready for baking of oatcakes and digestives tomorrow. First arrival tomorrow evening, so it will also be the last chance for dusting-type flying unless a guest volunteers. Can't see that happening, I wouldn't want any of them to notice anything needs dusting. Let's hope they're all myopic.Better is good enough.5

Morning all. Wordle in five and just yellow line on connections.
Back to work today. I will try to fly between shifts.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast and I'm supping a brew. Completed Wordle in four, and all four lines in Connections with two lives lost.
General waste dustbin and cans/glass recycling box are at the gate waiting to be emptied. I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for work.
Major roadworks close to TT....which is one reason why someone crashed into my car last week (he was doing a u turn to avoid the queue 🙄). Yesterday I got caught up in the build up of traffic on my way to work. Then the hire car stalled. 😱. And was trying to restart itself 😱. I did think about just abandoning the car where it was and walking to work. But common sense took over. Off. On. Away we crawl in the queue. And breathe. And dither once I'm safely in the office. My poor nerves 🤪
I'm setting off early today to, hopefully, avoid some of the traffic. Coming home I'm queueing at traffic lights as soon as I leave the car park. My colleagues are complaining about that - but I'd prefer to wait in a queue and be allowed out onto the main road, than have to take my chances creeping out through a queue of traffic into a live lane. Actually I'd rather work from home but that's another story 🤣
Anyhoo. Stay safe. Love to all.

@Narc0lepsy it sounds like you're going through a tough time at the moment. Sending virtual hugs your way.Love the throw @Valli and your choice of colour sounds just up my street too.I'm just home from my son's school and the second week of a course with the mental health team on supporting your child with anxiety. There's a small group of us parents, but I have a lovely long conversation with one of the fathers who came today - we could have talked all day, and carried on the conversation in the car park before realising we'd been chatting for ages and had better get going to the rest of our days.Coffee made and I'm going to have a sit down with connections and wordle before starting to fly. I definitely need to wash our bedding, as lack of time at the weekend meant that I only washed our pillow cases, so need to do the rest of it. I might go and get the bedding in then now before wordle etc, so that I'm multi-tasking and not wasting time.ETA: Sheets in the wash now, wordle in 3 and 2 lines (yellow and green) on connections today, so a bit better than yesterday.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20174
