Morning all.Completed wordle, got one line on connections.
Looks like another lovely day so I'll be wearing shorts again. I will potter this morning, walk Poppet and I've about a dozen plants I bought at the weekend to put outside properly so I'll try to find time to do that. I've also got my exercise class later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, supped a brew, taken meds, turned over calendars, opened curtains, completed Wordle in six (not convinced it's a word!), and managed one line in Connections (the green line).
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for TT.
No news about Vin Diesel yet. 🤞🤞
Have a good day.

I too have done one line on connections, and it’s the green line, but i’ve still got my lives as i can’t even come up with another group to try.
I’ve got vowels in wordle after 3 tries, one in the right position, and having used 3 attempts i can’t think what to try with my remaining letters. I’ll try that later too.
I need to beg out my swimming gear and empty the DW. Going in to work today.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Thank you for the thread, ladies. Today I am planning to fly in a supersonic manner. I plan an awful lot, doing is always my downfall….
I truly think my brain is wired differently - sailed through yesterday’s connections and wordle when all around me were baffled. I will see this evening if it is the same today, but it probably won’t be now.
Yesterday was return to work after the holidays day. Busy but very relaxed. Today is my no-work day, so I am guessing that by Thursday all novelty of going back to work will have worn off. Good luck to those returning today after a long weekend.
I have a mattress cover, some bedding and a bath mat drying out in the autumn sun. The 2nd load is swishing. I have stripped and remade our bed and will leave the bedding for tomorrow’s washing queue. I have an ironing pile but can successfully ignore that if I shut the door to the spare room. I have the duster beside me, so the plan is to remove some of the dust layer from our bedroom, maybe vacuum in there while DH is at the doctor’s, then we are off potato digging at the allotment. Oh the glamour of it all!6 -
Thank you for the welcomes or welcome backs. x@Cloth_of_Gold have you tried Napisan for your tablecloth? I recently started using it after my stockpile of Wilko brand oxi powder ran out, and it seems to be really good - it can be used on both colours and whites. I think I got mine in Asda where all the stain removal products are. Another one with a bad back here (think the curtains and ceiling cleaning etc didn't help as I was lifting and twisting), so going to take things a little easier today. One wash-load in the WM as DS1 forgot to bring his PE kit home on Friday, so I need to get it done by Thursday for his next lesson. The annoying thing is, his top is a white synthetic logo'd one, so has to be washed on a separate load from my cottons whites load I usually do, so think I may have to do it just with one of his school shirts on a 15 minute one or something similar. I don't think it is too stinky, and isn't covered in muddy ball splatters this week, so should hopefully be ok with a bit of airing afterwards.Fridge is looking a little less cluttered today, so a good time to try and give it a clean. Will definitely be doing that. My Mum is coming over after lunch now instead of this morning to help sort out the living room curtains that I washed yesterday. The dining table is also in dire need of attention, as it seems to have become a hotspot again.Happy flying everyone.PS. Does anyone still do half hour challenges still? I've discovered that this form of body-doubling (wasn't aware of this term all the way back in those early days) really helps me to focus, so if anyone is up for one, just shout.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20176

That's a result Kaz - OH binning the pile...one down...
I have updated the COSHH information at work, binned some very damp DW tablets, consolidated a couple of bottles, taken the recycling and the rubbish out too... I am not going to be buying anything from Mr L for cleaning at work as finding their material safety data sheets online is a challenge...and I have failed.
Still not decided what we are having for tea, though.

Managed to make an apple crumble (all ready in the fridge to bake tomorrow) using the free windfall apples I collected a while ago and that had been sitting unloved in the outside fridge. I also used up some tinned pears by making muffins, so that's breakfasts sorted for a few days too.Eveything washed up, sides, appliances and hob cleaned.School runs done (currently on just over 11k steps), and have managed to make contact with one of DS1's friend's Mum so that we can exchange details and sort out his birthday invite. My Mum kindly sorted out my curtains, and they're now hung up.Quite a productive day today and I have my weekly me-time of my pilates class at 6pm. Looking forward to tomorrow.Lovely to see some more familiar faces.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20177

@sexymouse I haven't tried Napisan but I saw your post 40 mins before the cut of time for amending a Waitrose order that is coming tomorrow so I've added a box. Thanks for the suggestion.I wonder whether my bad back (and shoulders and neck) are related to all the heaving up of A out of the chair or the car and humping the wheelchair in and out of the boot and so on. Alternatively, maybe it's just because I'm getting old. I really can see the difference between what I am/how I feel now, and even a few years ago. I'm not that old but equally I'm not young any more either. This morning A wanted to call in at the surgery to ask them about a follow-up visit with the GP as she is supposed to be monitoring the additional medication he was prescribed after his heart attack. I took him there, taking a bag of recycling down to the bins on the way. At the surgery we booked a telephone appointment with the GP and fortunately she had already requested the blood test that will be required so we made an appointment to have that a couple of days before the telephone appointment. After that I drove us to to Waitrose to get a couple of things I needed today and then we went to the pub we like that is just around the corner from where we live for a quick drink.Whilst we were out I washed the tablecloth again with the other whitening agent and the stain has reduced but is still visible. Hopefully the Napisan will finally get rid of it. We had lunch and then A wanted to wash his feet and he now has to do that by putting them in a bowl of warm water as he can no longer manage it in the bath. I facilitated that and put everything away afterwards and then had a quick vac around and did the washing up.Before I knew it, it was time to make tea. I discovered that due to my mismanagement there wasn't enough milk for A's breakfast or enough oat milk for the coffee I was making for myself so I nipped out to a local shop and bought both. A had an early supper as I had a church Zoom meeting. After the meeting I had my supper and now it's time to wash up again, do A' s eye drops, set up his breakfast things and put out his morning meds. Hopefully there will be a bit of time for reading before I go to bed.8
