I pointed out an MG4 X power the other day registered three weeks ago for under £25k. Approved at an MG dealer with delivery mileage.ididgetwhereiamtoday said:

Good reference here, an already cheap hi spec EV @ 36K RRP with essentially 30% off the ticket price.WellKnownSid said:

I just checked insurance on a few EVs that I like, unsurprisingly they about 25/30% more than similar ICE cars, plonk on electric costing me double petrol or diesel due no home charging, I will probably just wait and see if any EVs I like get to a price I'm happy to pay for the experience.0 -

9 miles is nothing. Saving would be good enough.
3000 miles a year would be one charge a week, in many cars. I could do that at local Sainsburys while doing weekly shop. 🤷♀️
But each to their own. Unless flat owners install charger's & this should be something that the government is pushing them to do, in all the spaces they provide for residents. You are in the rock & hard place situation.Life in the slow lane4 -
10,000 miles a year is one charge a week in our car… 3,000 miles is a charge every 3-4 weeks.born_again said:Bigwheels1111 said:born_again said:

Yes indeed.Niv said:After reading this thread, it just makes me want to keep my diesel for as long as practicable.
Petrol or Diesel, if it's not a monster and kept in good condition and driven appropriately, keeping good servicable cars like this win on many fronts and probably by far the best real environment way to behave.
But we like shinny new cars, mobile phones and the like, plus the finiance industry has made it look easy to achieve shinny items to make us feel better that the Jones next door.
PCP is a great example for the above.
Maybe I'll put a private plate on my car, swap wheels with a mate and change its colour by wrapping it and most neighbours will think its a new car.
What fun!
Possibly okay for the environment, but not other people's lungs.
