Congratulations @ditty1234 junior 🎉 a proud mum moment!
Had a meeting at work this morning, only we were pushed out the room after 5 mins, as the previous meeting had overran by more than half an hour & the next one was due to start! NOT amused. The rest of the day went fine. Small spend at the shop as it's my turn to buy the local paper this week.
Finally got round to updating my budget folder, after food shopping, etc last weekend. The coat I'd speedily put a zip in, then couldn't get hold of the owner, has now picked it up 3 weeks after the deadline they'd set! Pleased it's gone out of my porch. Started on the mammoth task of the 20 items of sewing for one person, unfortunately I didn't have the correct colour of thread for one item, so will need to get some at the weekend.
Grateful for laughing with my new pupil at a word & hand signal they'd copied from me (not rude, I promise!), people recommending me to new customers, the coat leaving my house eventually, & it's Friday tomorrow, oh & compliments from the head teacher againUse it up, wear it out

Good afternoon ⛅Not sure where the last 5 days has gone - think I've been a bit stressed underneath it all. Realising I'm not always aware of it - but it affects my behaviour outwardly. Like today - realising I am struggling with binge urges which usually means I am trying to not face some feeling or thought... Really need to get my mindfulness back on track as that helps. Worried about upcoming results, work/job security, finances... and BREATHE!!! Somehow I just need to find the faith and trust it will all be ok - everything will work out as it is meant to.
Today I am grateful for:
1) The gym, and the people I see there
2) My home (this one comes up a lot!) because it is my sanctuary
3) My exes Mum and the lovely catch up we had yesterday
I'm going to spend some time this afternoon grounding and centering myself.
Today = NSD number 6
See you all tomorrow x

I've ordered (and received) a food order. Not sure if it was a good (provident) decision or if I should have tried harder with what is in the house but I needed food, could barely get to the back door and no guarantee I'll be in better shape tomorrow. There was an order already written out so I tweaked it a bit and when I got to the end, some things I'd included were available short dated so I tweaked it again by deleting the full price items and getting the cheapo ones.
I have done a little weeding, a little sweeping, a bit of shuffling stuff. Found ibuprofen gel (an old one with a bit left) which helped with my back and I've used various other things to alleviate symptoms/ aches and pains then sat on the couch and watched fun things (mid way through a couple of tough dramas which I needed a break from). A pleasant dry day - I put the wet tarpaulin over the washing line yesterday and it's drying well and so is the ground that was covered up. Still tired but didn't fall asleep again this afternoon and I was 'alert' a lot sooner than the past few days.
Grateful for food deliveries (decide to ditch 'guilt' - it's not helpful, I need to eat and not waste energy on things when I'm struggling), gentle funny series and films, good books.9 -

I still haven't vacuumed my house, not sure when I will have time. But I have done the graduation, done the work I had to this week, I have coated paper for photography workshops tomorrow, started to prepare paperwork for observations all across college Monday and Tuesday 'Ofsted is coming', I have interviews lined up for the next two Mondays, very exciting even if it is creating problems taking up time on a workday it could offer a fairy door to alternative working futures. Grateful for all of that! And I even managed to help neighbour tear up some brambles for about half an hour today.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

NSD#7
Did yoga this morning (it was a free Pilates session yesterday), then rushed to do my Norwegian, make breakfast & dinner quickly, so that I could do some of my jigsaw whilst eating. Managed a good half hour on it.
Work went well. Once home, I cut the grass. Wanted to make the most of the weather being dry, as we've had a lot of rain this week. DH has been working on the wood store. It's looking good, with clear corrugated sheets to let light in. Looking forward to getting it all filled, stacked & ready for winter.
After tea I did a very quick repair job, finished the jigsaw (1000 piece) & made 5 cards for upcoming birthdays.
Grateful for DS1's GF finally getting diagnosed with twisted femurs so a treatment plan can be made, finishing my jigsaw, getting the potentially last cut of grass done, it's the weekend!Use it up, wear it out

Evening turtles, hope you are all well!
Congrats to you and your ds @ditty1234
Had a good week, work was busy but I feel pretty focused and motivated. Explored the new town I'm living in today, there was a food market on and a holiday atmosphere! No NSD as bought a spiral notebook for study. Cooked lunch for housemates and they liked it... phew. Had a 30 min swim.
Grateful for the swimming pool, lunch turning out well and for amazing corn on the cob, for having a nice chat with an English guy from Enfield who was selling chutney at the market, for 14 days booze free....Student loan £5655

Well done on your booze free days @Shrewbie.
Packed my jigsaw back in its box, to give to mum to do. Took DS1 to work as it was raining. Headed to town, dropped sewing off, picked up more, then went food shopping. Bought a few things for sproutmas stockings, while I saw something different. Pinned a lady into a jumpsuit & met another lady needing my assistance.
Once home, I put the shopping away, had dinner, then spent 3 hours breaking a settee up, ready to take to the dump. I'm absolutely shattered now & aching everywhere! Have a hot water bottle I keep moving to different places to try & relax the muscles. Feel a sense of achievement though, it's created a large space in the shed, so DH can start using it as the intended workshop it's been all along!
Grateful for music whilst I work, cuddles with the shed cat & a lovely cheque from FIL towards our extension savingsUse it up, wear it out
