I am grateful for the smell of the rain in the pine trees, for the dog's never ending enthusiasm for fetching balls (she had been cooped up in a small flat for 9 years and now she has a garden!), for coffee and sleep, but not together.
Today was not an NSD. Went to the "pound shop" type place that usually has treats from UK. Bought coffee and then when I got it home realised it was the one that's roasted with sugar, or something, so that will go back tomorrow. No exercise done today, have overall had very low energy this week. May rethink my waking up at 6am to study with this new work schedule (I don't get home until gone 9pm)

Did Norwegian, then went over the lines from a botanical silhouette sunset picture is done in art, with a black pen. It was only after I'd finished that I realised one of the pens on loan had a fine nib!
Work went ok. Had an observation from a visiting NHS worker, who was impressed with how my pupil's speech is improving since I started working with them. Spent the afternoon decluttering a walk in cupboard with one of my work besties. Stull loads to do, but the headteacher said we'd done a great job so far.
A bit of cleaning after tea, then pinned a woman into a dress & spent the rest of the evening sewing.
Grateful for therapeutic decluttering (we were EXTREMELY thorough!), playing football at breaktime, another sunny & hot day, acknowledgement for my workUse it up, wear it out

Good morning turtles. I'm sitting in the kitchen taking a coffee break from work and waiting for the storm to come. There's a weather alert with lighting in place from 12 today but it's getting very dark already. We'll see.
Yesterday was a good day at the office, had a nice lunch with my colleague and in the afternoon we had a department Town Hall with some guest speakers, one of them external to the company, and it was such a nice treat! I love to hear people explain about topics they care about, their experiences, or even just sharing their expertise, so I particularly enjoyed, and gave feedback so hopefully we will have more of those.
Unfortunately the day didn't end as well, as it was total transport chaos, and it took me forever to get home. On the home front there was also a bit of chaos, as the builder hired by brother in law to come and do the work didn't show up, and didn't give any notice. So, after waiting for a bit, OH called his brother who tried to contact the builder who completely ignored him. Apparently this happens more often than not, as a friend of mine had the exact same problem, and she lives quite far. Brother in law said he would come himself when he had time, and he arrived just before 7pm, and started putting down the new wooden floor with OH. They stopped at 9, having done more than half the room and especially all the weird corners. He will come back tonight to finish and he will bring another person to remove the old radiator and install the new one. Then at the weekend (hopefully before the end of it) he will see if he can send someone to build the wall in the corner and prepare the walls and do the skirting. So it's going to be done a bit more slowly than I hoped, but at least I will save a bit of money, since half of the work has been done by OH and his brother.
Today I have a few things to sort out for work, then I will try and enjoy my weekend. Next week is going to be full of stressful and demanding meetings and tasks, and I am not looking forward to that, but at the end of it I am flying to the Italian Alps to spend a week there with my mum (who is finally well enough to go on a little holiday) and my aunt. The hotel where we usually go has recently done a full upgrade and they renovated the whole wellness area, so I am quite looking forward to a few days of doing nothing apart from relaxing.
Today I am grateful for- OH and his brother doing a beautiful job with the floor

Morning turtles
Yesterday was NSD9, wont be another one today as I sense a trip to costco coming on
The expensive item on Ebay has a bid so that wil definately sell when it ends in a couple more days, feeling grateful for that!
Decided to give swagbucks a go, you definately have to dedicate the time if you go down the games route on it 😵💫
Have a great weekend everyone x9 -
Morning all, I have been following this month, but not writing much. Coming back to work is full on, and we already had observations on Monday and Tuesday - the first day of real teaching. So a huge amount of pressure. But I did it. Was also able to invoice for some workshops I have done for the local museum, where I am also interviewing for a role tomorrow. A too good to be true role, so am trying not to share with too many people locally.
I had Friday and Saturday off and today it is back to 'work' as in doing admin and prep for the week.
The other thing I am grateful for is that I am currently coming in on Budget, I have paid ds2 almost half of the vet fee, for the dogs passing and will pay the rest next month. And I still have £20 to last me through Thursday, which is fine as DS2 will do next shop and the fridge and freezer still has a few bits in it.
Have a great Sunday and hugs and cheers all around.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Yes good luck @ditty1234!!
Morning turtles.... last night I dropped a cool EUR 1500 on my flights to NZ for next year. Not changing my sig as it's pay day in a few days and the savings should top back up. It is all planned for so doesn't feel too extravagant (and it's to go to one of my best friend's weddings).... the EUR 16 I paid yesterday in the local farmers market for a pineapple and a bunch of bananas however... this area is so ridiculously expensive but I thought the bog standard farmers market for some reason would be cheaper than the artisan fair we went to last week. Not so! and typical me can't check the price before going to the counter.... or just say I've changed my mind.
Spent the rest of yesterday helping my housemate mark exams and we studied some Spanish together. Watched "The Holiday" together, still one of my fave films.
I am grateful for feeling motivated, for having the money to book flights and not worry about it, for managing not to spend other than the fruit that cost me an eye from my face as they say hereStudent loan £5655
