My view is that a Company being watched will behave more than one that isn't

There was a predecessor company called Logicor that was in trouble with Ofgem. Not sure if they lost their licence in the end.0

This is a new investigation about not disclosing price cap information, energy purchase costs, profit margins etc.0 -
I can't see any reference to export payments at all, even though they ask if I have solar and/or battery, and their quoted tariff is explicitly called "Tomato Lifestyle Fixed TP July 2024-V1-Solar"0

Could be. It looks like you get better prices if you tell them you don't have solar ..
Solar and battery..
Battery only ..
None ..

Watching with interest and glad you "pioneers" are making the switch and can keep us updated on how things go.0

The tariffs are misleading as they say they are inclusive of vat but in reality my contract showed the rates on sign up do not on include vat.
They made promises to sort out my smart meters but this didn't happen, they have also never created a bill or took a Direct Debit even though the details were sent twice.
In the end I switched back to Fuse who were more expensive but reply very quickly on their app and got my smart meters working properly.

This is all all very worrying to hear.
I noted that the pricing in my quote included vat and took a screen shot for my records (which I always do when obtaining online quotes for anything).. But as you say, on closer examination of the documents they sent me, the Electricity Contract document which contains detail of the tou rates does not mention vat. The T&Cs document says all pricing EXCLUDES vat. I have contacted them seeking clarification.
Is your meter a newer SMETS2 type or an earlier SMETS1?
I guess your only consolation is that they never generated a bill. How many days were you with them before switching back to Fuse?0 -
I've just received an email from Tomato Energy confirming that the unit prices in the Contract Document are inclusive of vat.
