Tomato Energy (Electric Only Supplier) - Too Good To Be True ?

I read that as 8600, which would make sense as they had some "students".
Majority of that turnover (60m+) comes from the 500 business they provide.3 -
Agreed it's 8,600 (ish) domestic customers using an average of just over 1400 KWhNewbie_John said:I read that as 8600, which would make sense as they had some "students".

That's based on direct fuel cost of £1.3m at weighted average cost of £107.3 MWh which equates to 12,115 MWh or 12,115,000 KWh divided by 8,600 gives 1408 KWh. Domestic revenue of £3.7m with 8,600 customers gives £430 per customer. Knock off say £140 for SC so £290 for usage divided by 1408 KWh gives about 20.6p / KWh which doesn't seem out of line.1 -
Update:Scrounger said:nikkijayne28 said:I meant to update you guys with my complaint about my delayed switch - TE responded to me really promptly to say they’d pay my £80 into my bank account which is good news!
@nikkijayne28, your positive update has prompted me to raise a complaint with TE for a delayed switch last month (welcome email, contract received etc).

Good to know they are finally dishing out this free cash.
Good news - £80 paid into my Santander Lite account today from Tomato.
Bit of a wait but worth it.

£80 arrived in my account this morning, too.Scrounger said:

I don't know - TE and Octopus said that the switch did take place (supposed to have been early February), but DNO still said that I was with Octopus; TE finally changed their mind a couple of weeks ago, and said that I am with my previous suppler; Octopus still say they are not my supplier, and, most recently, that the switch did take place, but shouldn't have...runsonair said:SJMALBA said:

I emailed the Energy Ombudsman over a week ago (I couldn't follow the online process as I don't know who my supplier is, and I haven't had any bills); to date, there has been no response from them...0 -

I have, and the DNO say it's Octopus (having banned TE) - Octopus are aware of this, yet still say what I've outlined in my previous post; I'm in limbo, with the various parties supposedly working on it, but weeks after the DNO ban etc. came to light, still no resolution...MWT said:SJMALBA said:
