Took another three paintings down in the sitting room - backs were covered in dust. The fronts are no better, and we're not sure we want to rehang them. At the moment there's on the dining room table waiting to be cleaened.Took the bird feeder down and stripped it down to its component parts. it was absolutely minging. At the moment it's sitting on the utility sink waiting to be cleaned.Had a quick high brush around the front door and the airlock. Minging. I'm now covered in cobwebs.Dog has been trundled, the computer geek was here and has sorted out my computer problems after a three week wait. I had a total meltdown in the middle of it because he kept saying, 'The mouse doesn't work' as if I could do something about it. Bless him, he went out, bought a replacement, and gave me a big hug when he got back - I apologised by text and in person - and then didn't want to charge me for the mouse.UPS has 30 minutes left to pick up a parcel. Not sure he's going to be here today given that the collection window was 9-3.Three loads swished/swishing in the WM, two dangled.Having a break.Better is good enough.6

Hi allNarco as someone with aging (but currently healthy) parents I can only imagine what you are going through. Much love xx
Been feeling a bit unsettled all day. Finished the paid stuff early to go to the seaside for fish and chips which was lovely.
DS1 sent a message to say he has had been told that his iron levels are too high. So more tests which is ridiculous because they keep doing scans and tests and telling him things are wrong but he never sees a consultant or has his treatment changed. Sigh.
Glad it's weekend. I do need to fly at some point.6 -
It's weeeeekeeeennnd xx
Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, brought down the laundry hamper, completed Wordle, managed two lines on Connections (as has my yang friend) and I've supped my first brew.
Last day at the Olympics today, but I intend to do the Saturdailies if nothing else.
Yesterday a colleague asked me to write a poem for a couple getting married today. She was so impressed that she's printed it out, bought a frame, and that's their wedding present! And I'm told that Elvis (not the real Elvis obvs) will read the poem out at the reception. Colleague is going to video it for me. That's my claim to fame this week. Swank lol.
Love to all. Hope all goes well this weekend however you plan to spend it. Enjoy the peace kaz. Hugs to Narco, YL, and anyone else that would like one or needs one.
Brew 2 for me.

Morning all.
Thinking of you, Narc0 x
DH came in from wargames last night long after I had gone to sleep (I only woke up momentarily when I heard the front door open) and was up bright and early this morning, dressed and ready to leave the house at 7.30. He can do it when he wants to...
I was up before it was bright and couldn't get back to sleep again. Now I'm already shattered. Fortunately I rang K yesterday and said I couldn't take them out for a full day because we would have to take Rosie with us, and since she is not allowed indoors at the NT property I had planned to visit, if it rained as forecast it would make for a very uncomfortable day for us all. Instead K and the girls are coming at about 11.30 and we can leave Rosie at home for 5 hours without worrying about her. It just means that I shall have to give her a walk this morning, but - like me - she is far less active these days. I've already finished off some work on the computer so next I intend to go back to sleep for an hour, if possible, as the roofers have just arrived next door!!!
I got all the washing dry outside and FUPA yesterday, so I hope to S&S the kitchen and run the sticky thing round before K arrives, if possible.
Have a good weekend, folks xxx

Morning all,
Hugs for you, Narc0 x
Breathing a sigh of relief for Kaz
Restless night last night, so I’m on go-slow this morning. DD texted at 1am to say that they were back - staying at BF’s tonight, then back some time over the weekend, as we are back at the hospital on Monday after her brief respite from all things medical.
I am aimless this morning, not that I don’t have multiple lists mind you. I also have 2 connection lines (probably different ones to Round!) and have completed wordle. Not that I’m procrastinating, of course.
Think I’ll go to the allotment for a quick visit, then I’ll start on one of the lists. Or maybe I’ll just write a new one.
Tractors and farm machinery are pounding through the village this morning - looks like the farmers have been hard at it all night.
Have a good day all x6 -
WUDUPA ✅
Washing is having an extra spin. I've s&s the kitchen worktop that I can see and wiped down the draining board. Bird seed has been decanted into a container.
I will move on to the HH Admin, but first I'm having a breather with my coffee.
