Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, etc etc. Usual routine.
I saw myself on video taken yesterday. Rose tinted specs fell off. I am reeling. I knew I still had a lot of chubbage to offload, but I did not realise I was still soooo big. 😭
More determined than ever to get the weight off now. 💪 But upset too. Curious mix of emotions.
At least it's in my power to do something about it.
Love to you all. ❤

morning all
up early as i’ve to have some fasting test at the docs as i’ve got some kind of medical, routine MOT. I’ve had to do a urine test and must have lost a bit of the kit…i’ve ended up pouring the sample into the syringe.
Might clean bathroom later. Those two statements are not unconnected. 🤣🤣🤣
yesterday i cleaned the cafe at work. i realised the chairs stack so that makes it easier. chairs left stacked as i like the floor to dry - can’t abide walking on wet floors…

Enormous (((hugs))) to Narc0. I really don't know what to say except that I hope that you can all agree on where your mum should live xxx
I'm with you, round. For my health's sake, I need to lose lbs - but I made flapjack to take to Wales for the party and left some at home for K and the girls, then they didn't eat any of it and now I'm not resisting the temptation to eat it myself. I know it's bad for me and being overweight is putting extra pressure on my arthritic knees, but I hate throwing food away, especially when it's yummy.
My flying today will be limited to the dailies, FUPA clean washing, and the ongoing photo sorting. I also need to order DGD2's birthday present, and of course Rosie will need a walk. Showery weather is forecast - the garden could do with it!
Hope you all have a good day. More (((hugs))), spoons and sticks to anyone in need xxx6 -
(((Hugs))) Narco. You will get through this, you and your brother are doing the best you can for your mother, and she is unwell and not coping well. I wouldn't in the circumstances, being elder and ill is what we all dread and she's living through it the best she can but it's very, very tough on everyone. It's very upsetting but you are doing all of the right things, and you have your OH and your brother with you. Your mother is very lucky to have two children who are willing to do so much to help towards her welfare, working together.Round and Ionafan, I have chubbage to lose too, and am pleased to report that I have stabilised and am no longer piling it on. That's a start. Baby steps. We will manage it. My lovely long-retired dental hygeinist always used to say that post-menopausal women are not supposed to be skinny, and if they are there's something wrong. Consequently I don't beat myself up about it, but I would like to stop at the weight I am and be a bit more comfortable in the lovely new bigger clothes I boght for myself. This morning my top feels a bit tight.Foodbank today, with very light flying like dusting when I get back. That's all I'm good for, but at least my right arm isn't swollen and painful today, so resting it is working.Better is good enough.6

Oh Narco I feel your pain. The day we have to consider residential care for mum looms closer and I know she'll hate it but those decisions are made with love. (((hugs)))
Nurse visited. Breakfast eaten now. WUALTD.

Dailies done. Am taking a few hours out from the paid stuff as taking Poppet to the vet. She's not quite right in herself.Narco - I agree with what others have said. You are doing your best. We're in a similar situation and sometimes I get quite angry at how much of our time is taken up with MiL who just moans and doesn't do what she's supposed to.

procrastinating here so i don't have to do all the things I am supposed to be doing..
Jazee.. I hope your vet trip is cheaper and less stressful than ours.. I took Thomas with his teeth because his mouth is sore thinking he owuld need a few teeth out.. they did pre-op bloods and he has hyperthyroidism AND diabetes.. I have two injections a day to give him and 3 lots of medication. He has a full day in the vet on the 20th to make sure his insulin dose is right.. We have spent £350 on him in 2 days and £100 a month ongoing costs.. Thank goodness I insured him when he came to live with us!
OH cutting the grass and washing the car..
I am packing and shopping and sorting school uniforms and cat medication and cleaning and loading the dishwasher and sorting clothes.. it appears no one has anything which fits..

Me again. Supposedly back at work but nothing doing.
I cut the grass just before the rain started. Also made a chocolate cake and some fruit scones.
Vet thinks Poppet may have arthritis. Bill was £12.35 for anti- inflammatory medication to try first . I won't swap bills if it's all the same to you Piggers!Spend less now, work less later.6 -
