Honey_Bear said:Stardrops makes a big difference, and good microfibre cloths are amazing. Other than that I can't really say anything makes a difference most of the time, although Elbow Grease and the oven cleaner from Kleeneze or Lakeland are very effective. I happen to like J-Cloths for general purpose around the kitchen but only the original J&J ones - copies are rubbish, as are cheap microfibre cloths.Talking of cleaning materials, I dug a metal bottle of Brasso out of the cupboard to polish a couple of Belovéd's candlesticks over the weekend. The price ticket on it was 25p. I suspect it may have come from my mother's house and went into a nursing home in 2003! It didn't smell right, and had separated, but it still made them look a lot better. Anyone here familiar with the Churchill and Miller will know about cleaning brass. I've done hours and hours and hours of it in a past life.Stardrops: that's a blast from the past. M/y mother used to buy it, although what she used it for I cant' remember. Something tells me it was for windows but I think she used windowlene so maybe not.Well don one letting go @roundtuitSorry to hear of your loss @Crazycatlady2Glad you're feeling a bit better piggers. Not much flying done today. This morning we picked up a friend and went with her to a local museum cafe. By the time we got back it was time for lunch, after which I WUPA everything and took a bag of rubbish down. Other than that it's been more Olympics, and a bit more food prep and washing up. I've put out A's breakfast things so now it's time to go to bed.Our friend in Plymouth is now out of hospital and back in the care home. According to his nephew he has made some progress after his stroke but it doesn't look as if he'll be able to return to his own home and will probably have to remain in the care home permanently. Fortunately it seems to be a very good one but I don't think he will all that happy in a home, however good. He has a formidable intellect, which is undimmed but sadly his body is letting him down .7

Good morning my lovelies xx
I was woken up by thunder in the night, and everything is wet this morning; so I guess it rained too.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, completed Wordle and Connections, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew. It must be a work day. Boo hoo.
Thank you for all the information on the cleaning materials that you use. Much appreciated.
Hugs to all

Dentist done. Next visit is a routine checkup - hurrah.Bedding changed, washed and out on the line now that the drizzle has stopped.
Stopping for coffee, then it’s hairwash, clean bathroom and vacuum upstairs. That’s the plan, anyway, which is way more than I have managed to plan, let alone achieve, for the past month or so.
Oohh, stocked up on bicarb at village shop by the dentist. No excuses now, then.5
