The quote about "letting go" is so relevant to me today @grandmanerd. I'm finding it very hard to let go of my ex's friendship but I know in its current guise it is holding us both back from meeting other people. I need to be the brave one and let him go, but it is so hard as we have an amazing relationship despite having broken up and I see him as a brother (he would hate that lol) and a lot of the same friends etc. I need to do this though.
I have had the most idyllic day at the country house of the lady I'm petsitting for, using her pool, just me and the sausage dog. It's been lovely.
I'm so grateful for being able to spend time in this amazing part of the world, alone among the olive trees and sound of the cicadas, with swifts (or swallows?) circling around me and diving into the pool.
Have a wonderful rest of your weekend turtles.Student loan £5655

Afternoon turtles
Yesterday I spent some time cleaning, hoovering and doing loads of washing. Met up with some friends in the evening for dinner, a round of crazy golf and a local car show. Was definitely spendy but it was good fun.
Today I've been to see pony, and then went to the gym for my first workout since my steroid injections. Have to avoid certain things but was good to get back to it. Done a few admin tasks and some batch cooking as well. OH is out so have had the house to myself which helps!6 -
Very busy day. 3 boxes broken up and 1 paper bag full of paper, 4 rubbish bags, 2 garden weeds. I moved all the remaining books and jigsaws from the black shelves to spaces on the cube shelves. 1 Bag for the food bank, one bag of Beloved's OOD food removed. DS3 moved his exercise bike (going tomorrow) and I cleared out that corner (more of everything) and I've moved all the incinerator lids to the corner of the backs. More to do but my knee is really hurting now so had a shower, scrubbed my filthy nails and am in bed. Going to read for a bit and have an early night with hopefully an early start tomorrow.
Grateful for boys, the couch and my bed7 -

Wishing you good luck for tomorrow @grandmanerd. Glad all your boys are going with you. Your brother & niece won't dare try to fiddle you with your back up team!
Had a lie in as up late last night watching the end of a series with DH & DS1. Going to start the next series with them tonight.
Spent most of the day making alterations to a flight suit for a Ghostbusters costume, was trickier than I'd originally thought! Finished my book at lunchtime though.
Back to work tomorrow. Trying to think positively, but I'm dreading it! I know I'm not the only one feeling like this. It's been carp for so long, but never as bad as this. Not sure how to make it better, but thankful I've got a few trusted friends to give support & share the burden!
Grateful for finishing the costume, good books, friends & familyUse it up, wear it out

I've had a great day. Not sure I slept too well last night though as one of the cats was on my pillow kneading the top of my head with his claws
but I got up early and drove to the country house with a very reluctant sausage in tow (think he'd rather have stayed in bed) to see the sun rise. Did 30 min of lengths in the pool and my morning pages, all before work. Was fairly productive working in the morning (flagging now) then back to the pool at lunchtime. I am now sporting green hair
Have also racked up a few NSDs the last few days. Today isn't as I need to go to Liddle for bits in prep for youngest sis coming on Wednesday.
I am grateful for a wonderful sun rise, for the motivation finally returning, for not drinking booze and feeling better for it.
