Myself and 3 other family members who’ve all held Barclays accounts in the past but then closed them have all been declined for it today. They’re becoming choosy like first direct! Previously was able to have multiple accounts.2

For the switch offer, you only have to join blue rewards - there’s nothing in the terms that says you have to keep blue rewards open to qualify, so you could close it before the end of July to avoid the fee completely.0 -
