Morning all xx
No blue skies here 😒. Overcast and raining. Again.
I'm up, made my bed, done my morning reading, completed Wordle and Connections, and supped my first brew.
Brew 2 required. Join me?

Mornings all.
Wordle and connections done - what have you started Round?
No plans today except getting house prepared for DGD2 coming for sleepover later. Some flying may get done.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
morning all
Wordle in 4 and connections with no lives lost so that’s a good start.
Lazyish day yesterday, put the buttons on the cardi for the August baby, finished my last jumper sleeve and knitted half a sleeve for the September baby, for whom I plan to knit 2, a not-very-well-off young couple. Got some washing dry enough to iron so ironed it.
Heard the Red Arrows going over but didn’t see them. They’re due over again this evening. Watched the England Ladies Friday and my favourite player scored and got man of the match so i was chuffed…I’ll watch the men tonight but i haven’t got a favourite player among them.
Was going to invite the aged ps for sunday dinner but decided i CBA to cook that, plus DS didn't accept the invitation until late and i haven’t shopped. May have them for tea though, and do a cottage pie or something…I’ve a £5 off a £30 spend in Lidl because of the football.
Was a bit naughty and took ibuprofen for joint pain but it was worth it…

Grinning at Jazee 😊 It's addictive isn't it? My friend, Sh, introduced me to both and we share our results every day. Usually with an apt comment attached to Connections varying from 'tweezy today' to '🤦♀️ffs'
Brew 2 was supped and breakfast eaten. I got dressed, did a laundry shuffle, fed the birds and put out the recycling.
I knew I needed to pick up my repeat prescription at some time today and was thinking after the tennis and before the footie. But killed three birds with one stone as I've been to town: filled up with diesel, picked up my prescription, and gone a Mr Al shop. And all groceries have been put away. Job done. Inordinately pleased with myself 😊
HH read a book time now.

Yes, really addictive Round. I've been checking out their other puzzles too...must stay away!
I have done dailies, walked Poppet in the 'mizzle', tidied the under sink cupboard, ironed two t shirts, given Poppet her flea tab and just indulged in a bacon and fried egg sandwich for lunch.
Once I've washed dishes a read a book afternoon seems like a good idea. Thanks again Round.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
I find the Connections that have Americanisms trying and I often have to start again to get all four. It's the third line that I usually have to come back to later in the day. I'm not a morning person. Wordle I do in bed while I'm drinking my tea and Belovéd often gets it looking over my shoulder because he's not that bleary in the morning.Waiting for an Ebay auction to end at 6.00pm before I go and have my shower. I'd be very surprised to get it for my opening bid but you never know, and I have put a maximum in. It's something I've wanted for about 55 years and having bought one for a friend for her 60th birthday I think it's time I let myself have one. Belovéd has gone to the pub to watch the match but may bring a mob back here if they can't get a table anywhere they like.I've had an inordinately satisfying day, catching up on all the jobs I've been procrastinating over that involved being outside, doing some heavy lifting and shifting and washing up of big buckets. Tomorrow morning when I wake up I won't have that, 'I really must ....' nipping at my heels because I cleared all of those tadpoles that had turned into Frogs over the past three or four weeks. Unfortunately I left potting on three volunteer tomato plants (perils of making one's own compost) for just that little bit too long and they're now well and truly established and intertwined with a beautiful thyme plant that I don't want to become disturb. They're probably indeterminate, they're in a trough that's about eight inches deep hanging on a railing, right at the top of some steps. They are going to look extremely odd when I have to put sticks in when they need a bit of support and come into fruit but I'm not disturbing them now.See you on the next one.Better is good enough.6

Honey Bear - hope your bid was succesful...Etch-a-Sketch?
had the aged ps round for cottage pie. Pa slipped me a tenner and said 'get some meat next time'... clearly I have been spoiling them with the roast beef...

@Jazee - depending upon what vintage your dress is, you may want to make sure your shoes have sturdy heels rather than the thin ones most heels have today. Sturdy heels will help you get through the day better also - I wore dancer's heels for years because you could walk in them all day without problems. Good luck with walking around in heels at all - I have given up on it now. For dress-up events , I actually have a pair of Danish clogs with very low heels (wooden) that I use.8
