Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, completed Wordle and Connections, and supped my first brew.
I'm going over to visit H at 1.30 for coffee and a catch up. Apart from that my day is my own. 😊
Brew 2 and breakfast first. Then get dressed.
I hope everyone is OK. 👋 to all the lurkers. Come out, come out, wherever you are 😊

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.
My day today looks almost identical to Round's, except that my coffee with a friend is at 2.00,and I have just rung the GP surgery to arrange a phonecall from a Dr this morning. Hopefully she can suggest a suitable painkiller that is more effective than parrots - by yesterday evening I could hardly bear to move, let alone walk, and I was drinking tea in the WAC at 3am despite having taken my meds just before midnight.
Anyway, the house is clean and tidy (or was when I came upstairs last night - Rosie could have got up to mischief in the meantime, though she's usually impeccably behaved), we have enough food for at least another couple of days, and I've got plenty of little jobs to do at my desk which will keep me gainfully occupied. Things could be a lot worse. And Rosie has just come to see me for her morning cuddle
Have a good day, whatever you're doing xxx

Morning, just.
One work shift done, walked Poppet in the drizzle, opened birthday cards and presents, hoovered through, did dailies, unblocked hoover, still doing washing Hokey Cokey, now having lunch.
No more flying for me today. DH is cooking my fav meal tonight.Spend less now, work less later.6 -

Happy birthday Jazee!Been running errands this morning instead of the walk I'd got planned, but I'm okay with it as all the errands were all far more successful than I could hoped.Would Flyladies trust porcelain tea cups and saucers to a dishwasher?Better is good enough.6

Slinks in having been absent again for a long while. I was determined to keep up with my cleaning having blitzed the house for guests at the end of May. But.......... we cleared the airing cupboard out for the plumber to replace the wrong sized expansion tank, took all the slatted shelving out, then he couldn't get the tank. It didn't seem worth putting it all back together, but the tank took ages to come in, meanwhile the spare bedroom is covered in the contents of the airing cupboard and there are piles of slats everywhere. When the tank finally came in, the evening before the plumber was due to fit it, OH came down with Covid for the first time. The plumber wouldn't come in as he's had it bad twice before and didn't want it again, fair enough. So now the lounge is a mess because I ended up on the sofabed trying, successfully, to avoid catching Covid. It's not worth putting the sofabed back up (it's heavy) now OH has recovered and I'm back sleeping in our bed again, because OH has to get up early some mornings to catch an early train. Normally he sleeps in the bed in the spare room on those nights, but that's out of use.... So 6 weeks after our guests were here the house is full of clutter and my resolve disappeared for a while. This week I've cleaned both the ensuite and the downstairs shower rooms, apart from the floors, caught up with the ironing, and today have just cleaned the oven in super quick time (finally got the drop on this, took me 50 minutes). This afternoon I'll try and get the ensuite floor clean and do some dusting. Also got some paperwork to catch up on and a study to do on Prolific.Oh and happy birthday Jazee.Make £2025 in 2025
