Happy Birthday Jazee - hope it is a day of happy memories.

I have washed the dishes this morning. Then thought I was taking roommate to doctor's appointment but they called five minutes before we left to postpone it as he hadn't gotten the x-ray done yet - so need to do that tomorrow. So now I get to work here and have a real breakfast. Will run the rest of the errands this afternoon, temperature supposed to get to 33C, no air conditioning in car. At least we can open the windows again. Don't have air conditioning in the house either, but cats sleep near the fans. 

I try to cover the first fly step. It is going beyond that that sometimes gets away from me. Dealing with 4 roommates and two of their girlfriends doesn't make for a clean house. None of them clean. Sometimes, I wish I could start over without them. But they would be out on the street as they can't afford the rents around here at all.

Sorry to have been MiA for the past month. DD was rushed back from her hols and into hospital. Transferred to a major hospital and let out last week under observation. Return visits are inevitable over the next couple of months. My heartfelt thanks to the lovely flylady who has kept me sane and checked in on me every day. You know who you are 😘.
Flying has been minimal. Heck, it’s been non existent if I’m honest. I can’t promise daily flying, but I do have a good imagination, so I should be able to concoct something for here.
I haven’t kept up with all the posts, but hugs to Narc0. And happy birthday to Jazee.

Thanks Valli.  I washed them all up and dried them carefully.  Some of them have gilding on so I'm glad I didn't opt for the lazy option.  How was Come From Away?

Spent the afternoon cleaning all the silver I could find in the house, so that's a job I was dreading that was rather pleasant, sitting in front of the computer watching things.  Cleaning/polishing silver is defo flying.

I finally succumbed. I put the heating on for a couple of hours this evening. In July! It's crazy.

I've fed the birds, brought in the emptied recycling boxes, put out the recycling, and put the world to rights with H. Conversation spanned from 'working with idiots' (me) to 'capital gains tax' (H). 

Yawning.  Must be bed time.

Changeover with DB today. 
- showered, stripped bed and put wm on with linen, towels and bath mat before breakfast. 
- emptied indoor bins, took bag and recyclables out to main bin.
- vacuumed and tidied.
- checked fridge items.
- was on bus to hospital at 10.25, met DB. Was pleased to see OT who rang me yesterday for info on Mum’s progress at home actually working with her. DB and I had wanted a chat with her and hoped it would be before lunch as I had a long drive.
DB and I returned to Mum’s House to find washing dry. Showed him list and divided tasks. He's going to commute each day to visit her while she's in hospital- about 60miles each way.  Took me just under 4hrs to get home, quite a lot of traffic.  I think I could sleep for a week.

I got up, made my bed, completed Wordle,  failed at Connections (got one line), supped a brew and looked at the clock...7.05am!!! 

Read a while - I'm currently reading Crisis Four by Andy McNab in case anyone is interested 😏 - I've eaten breakfast and I'm savouring brew two.

Morning all, and welcome back Fayolle.  I'm very sorry to hear that your DD has been back in hospital and trust that things are improving for her now.  Don't fret about the flying - it will do itself, all in good time   Lots of love to you, MrF and of course DD xxx

I spent yesterday afternoon chatting to a friend. She is at least as forthright as I am, so it was a very lively conversation.  There was no shortage of topics to cover, and I came home feeling that my brain had had a good workout, even if my body had seized up as a result of not moving from my friend's posh but (for me) not very comfortable new sofa for 3 hours!

Today L the dog walker will be coming for Rosie, so I shall take advantage of not having to take her out and can go shopping instead - the usual stuff.

yesterday was busy and i took a very resistant mum to dementia singing.
