    Hey guys

Can anyone reccommend a good show to go and see whilst we are in Vegas (14th-23rd December)

Last time we were there we saw Mystere, and both the shows we wanted to see (O and Lance Burton) are in blackout periods during this time!

Would be grateful for your suggestions!

Shame Le Reve is dark when you go as that is the best show i have ever seen.

Blue Man Group are very good as is Phantom of the Opera ( i have only seen it in Vegas) , both at The Venetain .

if your in your 20's or 30's The Amazing Jonathon is very entertaining. Dirty Hyponsis show is also very funny . these at the the Krave theatre on Harmon Ave.

If you like the film , Mamma Mia on the stage is loads of fun and always available for half price.

if you are a couple Defending the Caveman at the Golden Nugget downtown is a good show for half price . very insightful and funny.

if you want a proper Vegas type show with girls dancing , then Jubilee @ Ballys is what you want to see. me and my wife loved it and guys are guaranteed to like it. get the LVA book of values to get this for half price this year . ( see the guide)
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

I have had a look and the casino isn't too far from where we are staying so the plan is to go and get the card, then I can relax.

I called the casino to make sure they were open and it was just as well as they don't open until 6pm on Boxing Day which contradicts their website.

I was also concerned that I keep getting HTTP 404, Page Cannot Be Displayed errors on many links on the LCI website.
I dont think I will be getting a card, unless stoneman has to show his. It would be a day trip for me just to get one.

Please done be ringing LCI or vegas pointing out you/we havent got one..I am sure you wont be doing that tho;)

I would prefer somewhere nice and don't mind paying a bit more,$60 per room is very reasonable to me, as when we get to San Fransisco everything there looks really expensive! I am happy to take your advice. We arrive in Phoenix on 2 July so want to stay in the Grand Canyon area before getting to LV so maybe 5/6 July- showing on LCI at $60.00 per room. I think these rooms were refundable through LCI? Sorry what is IP?

$60 a room at the Paris isnt just reasonable it is fantastic. I posted before about not worrying about the card, Book the Paris and see what stoneman says in jan, you can alwqays cancel/amend.

That rate isnt refundable through LCI as you are booking direct with the hotel and rooms can be cancelled online for a full refund. LCI have nothing to do with the booking itself.

Dont stay at Circus Circus it is grubby and full of very young kids and like the Strat it is a couple of leagues lower than the Paris, and of course the location isnt great either

You will not be disappointed at Paris, I gtee.

IP is Imperial palace there are always good rates there if you book via the hotdeals link that ferf posted. It is a great location but not great rooms and the pool is in shade a lot of the time.

You have nothing to lose in booking a refundable deal now and then keep checking prices..that hotdeals link is great for all harrahs proerties

I agree about the MB rates but they dont help Christa in july wheras the LCI at the Paris does.

I have 3 nights left to book at end of Mar I am hoping for MB then

Not sure I totally agree with CC being a dump, the public areas are a bit grubby but the main tower rooms are fine especially for the $30 I paid last year, but for an extra $30 I would be at the Paris...EVERYTIME.

In general and barring big holidays, conventions, sporting events - Vegas room rates are some of the best value for money in the US and will put anything in Europe to shame.

You will be astounded what $60 will get your at Paris through that LCI deal...you will talk about it for years...you will tell all your friends, etc. I don't think I'm exaggerating...I don't think that I'm wrong in saying even in the UK you would struggle to get that sort of room for even £60 (yes pounds) per PERSON per night...let alone $60 (note dollars) per ROOM per night. Not yelling at you, just stressing that this really is a very, very good deal.

You will not be so pleased in terms of value for money with CC, IP, Strat, etc...the difference in price is minimal compared to the value of the hotel...you may be quite happy at those places depending on what you are used to - they'll be better than the same star rating in Europe at least...but the price difference is so small and the accomodation is so different as to make it a false economy to go for CC, IP, Strat and the like.

    IMHO.

    :)

Hey, i have a star, where did that come from, whoo, whoo !!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
