I would cancel the original booking online and then rebook imediately, which is exactly what I did last night.

No need to worry about booking the same dates again, I have done it many times. if the original nights are cancelled it is fine and you do get an instant cancellation reference when cancelling online

That's what I was hoping to do, but was just a bit wary. Useful info for future.

I'm all sorted. :T Called Paris per Stoneman's suggestion and they have amended the booking. :j I didn't even need to tell them the rates as the girl quoted the rates as per the LCI link so all is good.

Now all I have to worry about is whether they ask for a LCI membership card at check in. I looked on the site to see if you could join there, but it appears not. My nearest LCI casino is in Glasgow, over 150 miles away and the only time I go to Glasgow is to fly from the airport.

  • Hey guys

Can anyone reccommend a good show to go and see whilst we are in Vegas (14th-23rd December)

Last time we were there we saw Mystere, and both the shows we wanted to see (O and Lance Burton) are in blackout periods during this time!

Would be grateful for your suggestions!

They are different brands of the same parent company...but Dollar has more locations in Vegas and the two brands aren't interchangable (i.e. you can't rent from a Thrifty location and return to a Dollar location, etc.)

I looked at Thrifty's T&Cs out of curiosity (as I always rent with Dollar)...it does say:

"Any customer using a foreign license must provide either a valid passport or a valid resident alien card to rent a vehicle."

Probably not an issue if you're picking up at the airport after arriving as you'd have your passport with you...but might otherwise be a problem for some (I never carry my passport as I have a photocard driving licence and have never been asked for anything else with Dollar).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Was going to suggest Le Reve at Wynn as same creator as O and also water-based but also dark your dates.

Maybe Ka at MGM or Love at Mirage?

I looked on the LCI site and this is what is says-
These rates are offered exclusively by Harrah's Entertainment to London Clubs Player Rewards Members only. These rates are not available to members of the general public. Harrah's Best Rate Guarantee policy is not valid on reservations booked in response to this offer.
So I am a bit nervous as the nearest casino is either Glasgow or Leeds but both are a few hours journey and we would need 2 of us to go as there will be 4 of us going to LV so prefer 2 rooms. On the normal site for Paris on these dates the rates are much higher, about $360.00. Luci did you just call and book, do they think you are an LCI member from your previous booking. We aren't going till next summer so may get the chance to get membership before then, but I was sure they needed your rewards number to process the booking- or have I got that wrong.
My dd friend stayed at the Stratosphere this year but trip advisor didn't rate it too highly, we want to give our kids a great experience before dd goes off to Uni after next summer- iseems to fit the bill at the right price and the luxury rooms would be fine for us. I have read a lot on here about tips for up grades etc but again think I am a bit of a novice and would only end up emrarassing myself!
