OK - Ive just today booked thru carhire3000. As well as confirming no one way fee for NV/CA rentals over the phone, if you ask them they will state "no one way fee" on your quotation and booking.

IMHO, having this is preferable to booking with dollar.co.uk and their rather vague interpretations of the one way fee. As my contract is with ch3000, whatever dollar say when I pick up to me is now largely irrelevant.
Further, they pricematched, and beat, my dollar.co.uk quote. :T

That sounds pretty neat...when we went we wanted to do a side trip to the meteorite crater near Williams but it was just too far there and back added onto the rest of the journey back to Vegas.

We went there one year on the way back from the grand canyon via sedona, cant remember if we stayed overnight but I think we must have done.

The crater is enormouus, from memory it would hold 2 million people on its sides if it was a stadium. Sedona is another great place to visit

you need to go to the club in person to verify your ID than they will print a card out for you while you are there. If the saving to be had by going through LCI is substantial then it has got to be worth going to your nearest club even if it is miles away just to make sure you don't get pulled up when you get to Vegas. BTW those rates quoted for Paris of £75 for weekends are actually $75!!

OOps my mistake, I meant $75, if the price had been £75 I wouldnt have been so surprised. Altho by the time we all go it could be one and the same.

Hi guys, we are in Vegas 4th May until 18th May and I have just looked on the LCI website but the rates were:

    Mon 05/04/2009 $220.00
    Tue 05/05/2009 $220.00
    Wed 05/06/2009 $75.00
    Thu 05/07/2009 $60.00
    Fri 05/08/2009 $115.00
    Sat 05/09/2009 $115.00
    Sun 05/10/2009 $60.00

Obviously the $60 and $75 nights aren't bad, but $220 doesn't seem a cheap deal to me....

not all nights are at 'package discount' - if you look under where it quotes the prices per night, you will see it says something like 'package rates shown in bold'. You will probably find that the Mon / Tues rates are not bold... don't worry too much though as ultimately, if you are staying in one place it's the overall price that's important, otherwise it's always swings and roundabouts unfortunately.

no they have always included everything you need in the quoted price , when i have used them.

the rental agency may charge you for a full tank of fuel on arrival if you have not payed for it before hand .also the price would not include Sat Nav

other then that you can refuse any personal protection insurance if you have adequate travel insurance ( which i strongly advise you have) and not worry to much about breakdown cover unless you really want every single base covered.
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

And these were the rates we got.
    Tue04/21/2009 $60.00 Wed04/22/2009 $60.00 Thu04/23/2009 $60.00 Fri04/24/2009 $75.00 Sat04/25/2009 $115.00 Sun04/26/2009 $60.00 Mon04/27/2009 $60.00

You can always book and then cancel if the rate gets better. We kept looking for Caesars deals and there didn't seem to be much to be had. then looked one day and the price dropped by $200 total so took that. There must be something going on on the Monday and Tuesday but look at that $115 rate you got for a Friday and Saturday, you would never get a price anywhere near that for a major centre strip hotel. I tell you this deal is so exiting, has to be the best thing i have ever seen, except maybe for the Expedia Australia mispricing that happened a couple of months ago.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
