We did this today and it was brilliant! We had a group of 10 total, the 4 of us, another group of 4 and a couple. I loved it so much. we had a great group which I think made it that much better - I could see being with people who didn't really want to play along and it wouldn't be as fun.

We're throwing down the gauntlet to the other MSEers as our group solved the mystery AND collected all of the things we were to collect...our guide says that happens only once every couple of months.

The mystery changes every 8 months and I will absolutely do it again...it took about 3 hours for us - but they say that it can take as much time as you want. The time really flew. Really well organized, they had drinks and snacks on the bus that takes you the various locations and restrooms at each location...our guide was great and helped us along only a very little bit when we really needed it. There was plenty for everyone to do depending on what your particular skills are too - so I don't think that anyone felt left out.

Thanks very much for mentioning this Stew - it was one of my favorite things I've ever done in Vegas.
Thanks for the run down on the mystery tour thing, sounds out of this world, can't wait to do it when we get there. Thanks again stew!!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.
  • Hi guys,

I was on the Fatwallet site just now and came across this deal which seems to be for friends & family of Harrahs properties staff:

    http://www.harrahs.com/VegasVacation/index.html

Have any of you ever used such a deal/code or do you think it is a waste of time/too much hassle?

We'll be in Vegas 11th-18th march so the only 1 which really suits is the Paris which we'd get for approx. $610 (just over £400) for the week. Strange though as when you book the 7 nights together the last 2 nights jump from $60 to $180 per night. So I have had to quote it as 5 nights then 2 nights.

Any thoughts on the Paris or this deal - is it a no go?

    Cheers,

Harrah's have a maximum stay policy for some of their offers. Not sure exactly what it is, but I have heard that they don't like back to back reservations.

I just went in and checked the small print. It is for a maximum stay of 5 nights. If you do the 5 + 2 thing you may well be charged rack rate for the last two. I have seen the offer posted elsewhere though, and it appears to be for everyone.

Just browsing through quidco and noticed that Netflights are on there for anyone booking a car through them (3.9% cash back). Also noticed that the Post office credit card is no longer paying cash back for an application.

    ,

I would be very very careful about deals that you are not entitled to, the problem you have is that casino can cancel at check in when you get there and then you have to get a room at rack rate, I know of people who have been caught like this on a Staff type deal at ceasers and where they had booked an invited players deal at MGM.
Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time

fantastic rates. Shame they not available at end of march and beginning of april.

Edit..some properties go up to march/april with this deal others dont, I am now off to book at the Paris ( a friend of mine emailed me the rates)

T and C do state a maximum of 5 nights.

It also states on home page, to all employees..."please pass these rates on to ALL your friends and family so looks ok to use.

I do really think it is worth doing, but I remember you said your wife was a CSI nut (so am I) and this is really a bit more along the lines of a treasure hunt with a crime element to it...loads of clues to solve, and things to find, etc. Only feel I should qualify it so she's not expecting something more crime-y. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Would the ask who had refferred you this deal does anyone think - or as it says pass on to all your freinds and family will that do?
