Why would they give you a free op up for , if theres a staff member of family member flying ? They work for the company , you dont . What we pay is neither here nor there . Its just a perk of the job . If you worked for Asda , you would get 10% staff discount . I wouldnt complain about it . Get over it and maybe one day when you have saved your pennies hard , you might get to fly upper

You always did, which is why you are getting the reaction you are. I suggest you drop it now.

Mookybargirl- I went there last Thursday on my last day. It was quiet and there was a 5 min wait to get on the range. Even the girlfriend had a go and she absolutely loved it.
The guy who instructed us on the range even threw in a couple of extra clips of ammo so the mrs could have a go on the guns I had chosen (she only wanted to go on the uzi as its nice and light) I would not hesitate reccomending these guys to anyone- and it has its own taxi rank outside to get you back on the strip.
As a souveneir they let me use one of the gun store t-shirts you get free with the packages as a target- so i shot it with a massive SAW machine gun. They also let you take pics throughout the massive gunstore attached and will show you any weapons you want to look at. (The mags in the back of taxis also have $5 off vouchers)0 -
MayDorsetjohn,
I think the animosity came from the last sentence in your reply "I hope you understand a little better now" Maybe on reflection not a nice comment.
You gotta learn to use the smilies on here, makes a world of difference.
Just as an aside, we flew to SFO in upper on a reward last month and there must have been 6 flight crew on cheapies propping up the bar the whole trip. Now they are supposed to make their selves inconspicuous but you couldn't get to the bar, and the FSM did nothing. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
MayCan we have some links please to these different gun places, only ever did the gun store, and really after you have been there a few times it does get a bit boring.:DThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. What you said was rude , you jealous little man
For your information my daughter is a FSM . Thats the lady with the black blouse , who is in overall charge of the cabin crew
To the other person . I have done upper LAX . infact i have done UPPER nearly everywhere they fly and vegas upper is lovely
there was no boasting here , but there are alot of bitter replys
why not say something like , oh lucky you !
LOL
Silly woman
1 I'm not male (if you'd actually read properly my sig might have given you a tiny clue-Mum's aren't usually male-not very bright are you !!)
2 I've qualified for ID90s plenty enough in the past -the difference being that I had the class NOT to rub people's noses in it. There is a reason why airline staff (and their families) are told to be discreet about travelling on vastly discounted fares-you've ably demonstrated WHY this policy needs to exist. It pees off the people who pay your daughter's wages and subsidize your little jaunts-the paying customers.
I'm sure *to you* Virgin's Vegas product IS lovely but to people who fly the other routes and carriers it falls woefully short. It's a matter of what you are used to and what you are comparing it to.
And no you weren't boasting-you were gloating-it's very unattractive !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Actually I don't have any issue with staff Op-Ups (so long as the correct procedure is followed-ie they come after elite Op-Ups).
Airline staff are very badly paid and work some horrendous hours -the airlines have to make the employment package attractive somehow and offering seats that would have gone empty anyway is good economics. If they paid the staff more then fares would rise.
It is unfortunate though tht some staff abuse the benefit (like the staff on the SFO flight in a previous post) but then the world is full of givers and takers-no reason why the airline industry should be any different.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
