Well we spent $38 dollars on the final day, i.e our final night not the checkout day and the full charge came through to our bill. i.e if you don't spend the full $50 they don't credit anything. I wasn't sure whether you were saying that's how it should be or not but I certainly expected to be able to spend up to $50 and not get charged until we went over $50. The other nights we spent over $50 and the charge came through net of the $50 credit.

As I said I didn't bother querying it as they also mucked up our minibar tab so it wasn't worth querying it as it worked out the same in the end anyway. But it may be worth clarifying at check in to make sure.

Also I very much doubt it is cumulative and can be carried over.

And yes you cannot use it checkout day.
So, on checkin day if you don't get there till late and don't want to eat much you lose out. then if you don't spend at least $50 a day on food there you lose out as well. sounds like a crap deal to me. you would have to eat nowhere else but the V for the entire duration of your stay
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

As I said, thats what my bill looked like. But you would have to double check on checkin.

Just wanted to warn anyone just in case it wasn't a mistake.

It's only free money if you spend at least $50. We usually only spend about $30-$40 a day on food, and don't like having it placed in front of me if I am not going to eat it, so would not be tempted to just order more food to get over the $50 so it seems a bad deal for me. No, it isn't a crap place, but it ain't a cheap place either (Cafe Lux excluded) I would have gone for the $50 gaming credit deal.

You can always order a bottle of wine or a beer or two to top it up.

But as I said, I don't know if it was a mistake or not. Also do check to see if the $50 includes gratuity etc as for the first few days we charged to our room and left cash. The last night was the only time I added the gratuity to the room tab. Whether that had anything to do with it or not I have no idea.

    Book with Dollar direct.

Virgin Holidays are the biggest single rip off company on earth when it comes to your car. In fact i have yet to find VS Holidays to be the cheapest for anything. Ever.

Why book with dollar direct, if carhire300 will beat their price.

sister is coming out for my wedding next year but just mon-fri due to being away from her kids for too long.

flight only on virgin direct to vegas was around £1400 return for economy due to their 'must stay on a saturday' policy.

just booked her a 5 day stay thru virgin holidays for the mon-fri on the same flight she would have paid £1400 for, with 5 nights at the luxor for £858.
