    Hi All,

I'm a Newbie on this thread (been on the Orlando one for quite a while). I'm looking for an MSE trip to Vegas in December, and would be grateful for any help / guidance and tips available. I've never been before.

I've read through the hugely helpful tips on Page 1 and am now ready to start my search for flights / accom. If anyone knows of any particularly fabulous deals around right now, please can you share them.

    Thanks so much

    Ceebsx

    welcome to the thread

That Venetian deal really has everyone snapping it up but is a no refund deal so you need to sort a flight 1st. you should little trouble bagging a good hotel deal though

always best to go direct to the airline . if you don't mind indirect you should try all the Atlantic carriers .

£400 odd direct is probably as good as you will get unless you chance a late booking with my travel

talking of which about time to revive my price checks :money:

    leaving on

    22/10/08 7 nights = £398

    29/10 = no availability

    5/11 7 nts = £462

    12/11 7 nts = no availability 14nts = £575

    26/11 7nts = £398
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

dont know if this has been posted but maybe useful after the bit of blurb on the previous page or 2 about satnavs from virgins website:

Looks quite good actually due to free satnav (how much would this be normally?).

If I go for it which is the nearest location to Ceasers Palace for collection.

They seem to be the dollar locations bellagio / Circus / Excallibur / Hilton / luxor / mandalay bay / MGM / monte carlo / TI.

I do have a (not ever active) VirginFlyingClub account presume I need one or not?

    Thanks

    Matt

How did you manage that / which hotel?

Nothing special The Riviera. I had got it on a priceline bid the beginning of this month and they upgraded me to a huge suite with balcony so I emailed marketing not expecting much as I'd gambled maybe $100 in their casino. I said how much I had enjoyed my stay and asked what they could offer me for specific Friday & Saturday dates in December. They replied straight back offering 2 nights comped and some food credit. I have private function and show to attend at the Flamingo and am quite happy to hop on the deuce rather than pay $300 for 2 nights at the Flamingo
Credit crunch and low season paid off for me I guess-never hurts to ask.
The Riv was actully much nicer than I was expecting and the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful for Vegas.

The Venetian deal is fully refundable and by my reckoing you probably have about 8 hours to book as they dont normally run the cut off date to midnight but til when they get in the office.

"First night room and tax deposit required, and is fully refundable with 72-hour cancellation. The Venetian management reserves all rights. For reservations assistance please call (866) 403-8046 and mention code: EVNOCTO."
Its Vegas time -no longer :T a five year old has changed Vegas time to Orlando time

Just checked Virgins offer against a couple of other sites all be it without sat nav. ( I have been all over west coast without one and not had a problem)

    Chrysler 300

Virgin with sat nav all inc = 459

netflights without sat nav all inc=422

    carhire3000 without sat nav all inc= 390

15 days hire next march pick up and drop off at airport

As I have said before ( I know I sound like a carhire 300 salesman,,,but I def arent) carhire300 will promise to beat any other quote and they have a freefone number.

This is where trets got his t and c from, which i got from a link on one of the posts on this thread
    Terms & Conditions:

Must book by October 15, 2008. Any additional nights are at the prevailing rate. Must be 21 years of age or older. Rates and dates are subject to availability, and may not be used in conjunction with any other offer. Blackout dates do apply. Offer is restricted to nine suites or fewer and is not valid on any group bookings or for existing reservations. Rates are non-commissionable to travel agents. Package must be fully pre-paid and is non-refundable. The Venetian management reserves all rights. For reservations assistance please call (866) 403-8046 and mention code: EVHTOCT.

Be careful as to which link you used as it looks like one is refundable and one isnt, altho they look like they have both expired now

    Book with Dollar direct.

Virgin Holidays are the biggest single rip off company on earth when it comes to your car. In fact i have yet to find VS Holidays to be the cheapest for anything. Ever.

Well, the reason I booked now was that I was going to Vancouver first and globespan are the only budget airline left that goes there so I figured that their seats would fill up fast. If there are plenty of flights going out to Vegas from where you are you may have a better chance of waiting till the sales ? Were they lower than £421.50 last year ?

Well we paid £432 but that was without the miles for money....but it was later in the year so I would expect the fare to be a little less.....think the lowest I saw them was just after Jan at £389 but I missed out on that price as the website was so busy you couldn't process the sale.....and of course all the lines were busy
