So we need to fly indirect, LA or san fran perhaps. I have looked on the various sites for cheap internal flights with AA and UA amongst some.
Does anyone know of any other carriers or other indirect routes that would work out quite cheap.
for obvious reasons of being staff, I only need internal flights as the people that are also coming are unable to fly on other carrier unless full fare

If it's only internal flights you're after check www.southwest.com - cheapest prices to be had booking as far in advance as possible...it's sort of the American version of Ryanair or Easyjet.

I'd check out Jetblue -although it's a bit unclear if you're looking for other carriers for ID90s or public fares

Wow, this is a really great place to find out about all things Vegas. This will be our first time and we are soooooo looking forward to it. Please can you help me out.
I dont seem to be able to get any good prices for Strip hotels for check in 14th Nov check out 19th Nov. We would really love to stay at the Venetian or Wynn but I think they maybe out of our budget price. I have looked at Fatwallet but it all looks so confusing. Can any of you experts help us out. Thanks guys....

Hi fruitpie. I'm there on the same dates. I'm in MGM from 11th for 5 nights $750 King Suite or something through the hotel promotions link on the first page. It will link you to the MGM booking page. It's the grand exclusive offer with $35 dining credit. (I could have had a basic room for $675 on these dates but took a bit of an upgrade).
Here's all the Nov deals http://www.vegas-promotions.com/November-2008/dp/1.htm

Then, I'm at Ballys for 5 nights for $295. Booked directly through Bally Hot Deals link on their website ($59 a night, not too shabby). I've stayed at both of these before and know I love both so I'm not disappointed. I'm still looking for better offers so may very well cancel and take something else depending on what comes up between now and then.

Let us know what your budget is and what you've found so far and we may be able to help a bit more. I've also stayed at Caesars which was lovely too. bit more expensive but it has a great locations and lots of shopping within. We found the table limits a bit high when we stayed there so we just popped across the road to Imperial Palace a few of the nights.

    Hope this helps... :)

    Hi there

I went to vegas nearly 6 years ago and am considering going at Easter with hubby as 3 kids aged 5, 3 and 1. We are not big gamblers so staying off casino floors not a problem. OH said he will be happy to go if I can find stuff for kids to do there. Any ideas? How long is a reasonable stay? I found a week wasn't long enough last time. And this time we would stay off stip at somewher like an extended stay or hyatt place. Your help would be appreciated.

Don't mean to be rude but what do you want to go to Vegas for? If you don't want to gamble and you can't be out in the bars etc with the kids then is there something drawing you there more than any other holiday destination?

I personally don't think Vegas is a place for kids and feel quite sorry for the ones that I do see when I am there (hence having just made my last trip for quite some time cos I am pregnant  )

Personally, I think that's pretty young for Vegas (I'm generally not a huge proponent of kids in Vegas, but a bit older I can understand more than this young). Yes, there are things for kids to do, but 3 that young is quite a lot. I guess I don't quite understand why you would choose Vegas with 3 little ones when there would be much more family-oriented options - especially if you aren't big gamblers and don't plan to stay on the Strip? In maybe 5 years I could see there being enough to keep them entertained but 5, 3 & 1 seems a bit too young to me.

Then again, I have cats...what do I know of children? :)

I agree, take 'em to Disney and leave LV 'til they're older!

    Hey one and all.
need some help.... I fly to Vegas all the time as crew for VA but am planning a trip there as part of a friends birthday ( also crew )
I have had a look at the flight loads for that day and hell will freeze over before myself and a party of 6 crew would get on.

So we need to fly indirect, LA or san fran perhaps. I have looked on the various sites for cheap internal flights with AA and UA amongst some.

Have a look at Virgin America (for internal flights), very nice, new planes.

to be honest, it's because we got married there and would love to show them where we stayed etc, we loved it and found plenty to do and I know others who have been with kids too, just wondered what it would be like. It's quite a good price for the time we were looking at too and thought it may be a nicer option than just a beach holiday. Disney etc would be great but way too expensive and not all of the kids would be able to go on all of the rides.

Hi Mookybargirl, thanks everso much for your info on vegas hotels. We can hardly wait for the 14th of Nov - roll on. Reading all the fantastic posts, makes me think you lot must live there - ha.. Whats Ballys like inside - it looks a oldish hotel? $59 is cheap eh?

I think it's a lovely idea to take them to the place that you were married, but not sure if children that young would appreciate the significance? Adding in the idea of a 9+ hour flight with 3 children under 5 would put me off personally. :)

But if it's a good price and you're happy there will be enough to do for the family then sure, go for it...most of the things I know of for kids to do are really geared more toward older children but if you know of others who've done it perhaps they have some ideas for you...maybe things like the Mirage Habitat would be something at least the 3 and 5 year-olds could enjoy. Just remember that you won't be able to stop much in any casinos with the kids as security will move you along...and Wynn doesn't allow strollers/prams (they will ask you to check them with the bell desk) - I think Bellagio has a similar policy and may have other restrictions on under 5-year-olds. Things like that could make it difficult with three little ones...

    thanks for the responces guys.

Duchy: Im after a full fare. I will be travelling on ID90 but 4 people will need to be on full fare for the internal flights as they are unable to use ID90 on an alternative carrier than I work for.

Will have another butchers at Virgin america, but would have preferred LAX as there are more carriers to Vegas.
will look at Southwest as have herd they are OK

another thought was driving over from San Fran or LAX. has anyone done this? Im not liking the thought of 4 hrs in a Minivan, plus the fees are looking more expensive than flying!

    Thanks all
